A very reliable source told me that this week that Mattel will no longer consider the idea of producing a Super Elite Mondial Ferrari and all future plans of a high-end version will not happen. Again Mattel should listen to their customers.

Ferrari should listen to its customers and get rid of MatHELL from producing overpriced crappy version of their flagship supercars!

i read that there is new blood, new team of people in charge of Ferrari in Mattel. I just hope that they pay more attention to collectors...

why dont mattel stick to making ken and barbie, and let minichamps, kyosho and autoart
to do the proper models of this famous marque,at the moment ferrari should tell them to take a hike.

Hot Wheels and Ferrari have been in business for over 30 years now, I don't see them letting them go for any reason at all.
I think they do listen to us but a single 1:64 scale Hot Wheels can take over 6 months (from start to finish) before they even get the car to the market.
So think about the time for a 1:18 scale being around the same amount of time to get completed. I think they are going to get better no doubt.

WTF! You are killing me now.:( I was waiting for that one. Now I have to settle for the crappy middle ground version.

His source is as LEGIT as they come. My pre-orders are no longer in the sytem for this one where I had them pre-ordered from. I asked them Wednesday and they are gone from my pre-order list.

Hopefully that NEW BLOOD is bleeding FERRARI ROSSA CORSA!

Or a Convertible! I would just be happy with it in 1:18 scale and something that is well thought out before they decide to can the idea and screw those of us who want to spend the money for the one we would prefer to have.

    Works for me!

And the ALMIGHTY DOLLAR has us once again bent over the kitchen sink!! :D

a 1:18 scale from idea to shelf usually runs about 1 year +. Sometimes up to 2 years.
