Well I must admit, up till now I did not care too much for gallardo, but this.... especialy in white .... well I am amazed. If I had the chance to select now F430 vs LP560 I would still pick Ferrari, but only because I am stubborn. This Lambo looks awesome! B
Shame.............no more sharkfin on rear fender!!! This new Gcar is looking too much like Audi R8 to me.
My wife is completely neutral and to be honest with you - I couldn't get her out of the drivers seat of the Gallardo - she loved it. I like it too BUT, I don't like the limited space in the front and the tiny amount of space in the foot well. I am only 5 foot 9 or so and wear US size 9's but I found the six speed uncomfortable. The lines of the car are really something special. The 430 is still my favourite of the two BUT, the Lambo is a fine car. Even though everyone knocks the Ferrari on the Lambo boards and vice versa I am sure MOST of us would be happy behind the wheel of either one IF the badges were taken away : ) Lastly, I have to quote this one liner - apparently Frank Sinatra said it upon delivery of a Muira to a reporter who asked him if he couldn't afford a Ferrari "A Ferrari is what you buy when you WANT to be somebody, a Lamborghini is what you buy when you ARE somebody" What a cool thing to say - not true but a cool response to a dumb ass reporter
when reporters question me, i prefer to say "Bulls are for the farm and Stallions are for the track"!
Once upon a time when I was in Symbolic Motors in La Jolla, Ca, a salesman there summed up the difference between Lambo and Ferrari and it's this: Lamborghini is like the snot-nosed little brother that can just never quite equal the big brother. Exactly.
I will be taking one out on the track in Las Vegas in late May and having dinner with the Pres. of Lamborghini. What an invitation that was. On my 4th. recent Lambo (08 SL) and the proud owner of an 07 F 430 F1 Spyder, i can't wait. Eric
if ferrari is "the true and original symbol of an exotic" why do they keep upgrading their cars (430 scuderia for instance)? If the car is a true and original symbol of an exotic, then people should buy the car because of the status the car has, and not stuffing the car with all kinds of racing technoligy<-(didn't spell that right). That what you are saying completely depends on the person you are, for me Lamborghini is a true exotic. and it is kind of an insult saying that lamborghini isn't a true exotic. i don't want to argue with you or anything, but that's just my opinion.....
Imagine if a German company bought Ferrari? Would have more gadgets, be more comfortable, better fuel consumption, go just as fast but would probably look more boring.
This one as an 09 Spyder may be on my list. I still can't order an F430 but this one I can walk into a dealer and place an order. 1st quarter next year who knows? The choices are "newused" 430's with the worng colors and equipment at $300 to $325, or a nice fully loaded G Spyder in my choices of options and in any color I want for ~ $260. It's tempting. I'll let you know when the order is placed or to help with the selections.
lambos look better than any ferrari ever will.....if i were to put up with the image of driving an italian sports car it would certainly be a lambo and nothing else.
That rear diffuser looks like some sort of loose skid-plate - retarded. I flipped down to the interior shot and said "Hey look an RS4, oh wait, thats a Lamborghini." Ferrari would looks odd too if they came out with 10 different versions of the 430. But Lamborghini owners are like rap-stars: you can always add more bling. Spinners and curb-feelers in 09` guys, look out. _J
Well, I can see from your profile that your a German car lover, so the Lamborghini will surely fit for you - best of luck! Wanna hear something Ironic, its post 996 for me... _J
That lambo is very nice, but it´s far from beautiful as a 360/430. It looks more aggresive and very raw, but not beautiful. Lambos never have never will.
Looks like they've smoothed out some of the rear yuckyness of the old Gaylardo and put some Reventon touches here and there. Looks pretty good
The irony... The angular cues of the 430 and now scuderia seemed influenced by the styling of current lambos-- a drift from the classic rounded lines of the CS or of the 250s of the past. Well the Lambo designers called and they want their angles back! The new gallardo clearly looks influenced by ferrari. They've blatantly lifted the front and rear grille from the scuderia!
