    wow, so f'd up. How can they repo the cars like that? Must have had illegal "for the street modifications"? Hope this doesnt happen at VCR. Although the cops that come by usually enjoy the show and are always super cool.

    wow...so much for our right to free assembly.

    and for the CHP issuing ~101,553 tickets that amounted to 10.5m ...makes it an average of $103.4 per ticket..

    $103.4*150 (at the raided meet) = $15,500

    that's nohere close to $500,000 that they claimed paid for the overtime and all associated costs to conduct that "bust".

    problem is a bunch of kids that don't know their rights, and are being intimidated, are not sure what to do. It is time for an pitifully under-paid public defender to step up.

    Some of us are lucky to have multiple cars, some are track day weapons, but kids don't have the luxury, so everything they have goes in to their vehicular identity. Lose it all because they are don't know the procedure to fight it, and law enforcement exploits that, look at cvc 22350... It is something that is easily dismissed for less than the bail amount with ticket-clinic type services.
