    My 430 Scud on order in Australia ( ARRIVING IN AUGUST-SEPTEMBER ) is $608k, same car in USA is $262k. Thank goodness I am moving to USA.

    Yes we are ripped off big time here on cars. I don't see the government changing the laws anytime soon.

    Depending on the brand, the spec can vary from market to market so it makes exact comparisons difficult. State taxes can also confuse the picture.

    I used the GT2 because Porsche use the same site design globally and the on-road prices are listed on each page. The link I posted has links to every country's price page - of course there'll be differences in the end, but it gives a good indication of where we stand on such cars in the worldwide market.

    Taxes are usually the main variable between markets. In low taxing markets like the US, early buyers often have to pay more than list due to market pricing by dealers - which makes me feel a little better. :p

    too much freight for me to pony up ( can't believe i am thinking straight for once :D , 360C will be proud ) since i am driving the same shell.
