OK, I do like the 355 tail treatment, but I'm not advocate of turning the 348 into just another ho-hum 355 ;) The 348 is outrageous in a Ferrari/Italian kind of way, not some jelly-bean designed in the wind-tunnel. Twitchy at speed, built like crap, expensive as hell to own... but we still love 'em.

So, in the interest of putting the Hair Gel Boyz in their place, I ask if their junior brotherhood can do anything this cool? It's peek-a-boo -- 348-style!

Ho man that is a great pict! Thank the designers for the grates that are there to keep the engine from ingesting human children.

    Graters for life.

As a child of the 80's, the straked look will always have a special place in my heart. Consider that this singular design element completely defined an era of Ferrari's, much in the same way the monster wing became the signature of the Charger Daytona.

The funny thing is, strakes will almost certainly become automotive vogue again someday. At least then we won't be looking for strake kits to modernize our cars. ;)

Daniel the boy is growing up fast.

Funny story about my kid and the door scoop on the 355: she was up in the shop with me while I was replacing the rear wheel bearing and promised to "help" me by not touching the car or the tools.

Near the end of the job I walked around to find her "helping" me by placing a metal pry bay in the drivers side inlet.

Lots of fun up in the shop with the kids.

Yeah, it's all fun and games until someone gets their head caught in that opening and the fire department has to be called to cut them out.... or, if you're lucky, cover their head in HAIR GEL and pop them out.....

Think safety. Cheese graters for all!

I think the 348 engine lid design is sweeter too.
