This certainly came up awfully fast. I wish I had known about it a little sooner. Unfortunately committed to something that day.
Hey Mike, they had this planned awhile back, I don't think they knew at all FCA was doing it at the regional meet. Regardless, this is a different crowd. Ill be there in the Three-Two-Eight!
Hey Rob, Are you considering taking your 355C to MSR Cresson Saturday w/PCA? They are running the 3.1. I'm taking my 355 to get some seat time, and shake it down with it's new heads. I'll be there Saturday, but not Sunday. Let mke know if you're coming. Mark
doh! didn't know it wasn't a member's day. I'm calling Topp Racing tomorrow, looking less and less like I will make NASA TWS next weekend, so maybe I will just test MSR next weekend and do the SCCA race at TMS. heads, your car is so ST1 now! Colin and I are barely making ST2 and I think will just run Hoosier DOT R's because I have to run those in SCCA anyway. I will update you when I know for sure.
I wish that I could make it. I will be at MSR at the PCA DE instead. At least my conflict is car related!
I've done several of the Boardwalk Owner Rallies in the past. They are great! More of the late model crowd, the current customers of Boardwalk, but the FChat crowd is there too. Heck, a vintage Ferrari or even 80's would get more attention than the 40 430's, 612's, and 599's that dominate.
my first run and it was a blast! Those TRX's leave a bit to be desired, but all in all the old girl did alright. Had to keep up with the heavy hitters in those brand new high dollar rides...let's do another one!!! somebody post some pics.lotsa nice rides out today--shoulda brought my Nikon.. thanks to Boardwalk for the sponsorship!!
Thanks Boardwalk for another great event ! The route was fun, and it is always so amazing hearing the variety of sounds from the cars around you. Lots of different cars to look at, and lunch at Southfork finished up a top shelf rally. Well done ! What an awesome time. I was driving the red F355 with my girlfriend. The F430's were awesome and we had a fun time keeping up, or trying to. The local law enforcement got into the act, and it was like we were in Cannonball Run. Great! Here's a few pictures from along the way. Dang, really sorry I missed it. I just barely made it from home to Norwoods on the bad alternator. So close that when I went to start it in the parking lot to move inside their garage it wouldn't.
