    That is awesome.

I have seen a lot of in mirror displays, but that is definitely the cleanest install I have ever seen.

I like the color adjustment also. Never seen one that wasn't just red.

The feature is actually called a "concealed display" which your installation, although very nice and clean, totally disregards. The intended purpose is to keep the indicators below the window line so everyone including the police driving behind you dont see the alerts. I never understood the point of the rear view mirror displays.

Actually Isn't my install, I have a friend that does them. Isn't really a problem seeing the lights with the rear window tinted and you can hardly see it when the car is turned off since the lights aren't on. The point being you can see the readout where it would be if you had the detector mounted normally without having the detector actually there and visible.

Wherever you can fit it and still see it that you think will be out of eyesight from outside the car. Instrument panel, in the dash, under the dash pointing up, get creative there are tons of places to put it.

Looks like when I get my first fast vehicle (hopefully an fcar, but might have to settle for an entry-level lotus or vette) i'll be getting one of these.

I have always had a question, though. Let's say you have it on and everything appears to be clear. Suddenly, the lights behind you flicker up *oh **** its a cop* and pulls you over. He then proceeds to tell you that he flagged you doing 82 in a 65.

My question is, because your V1 didn't go off, does that mean he didn't radar you and basically just predicted your speed? In Nevada at least, you can request to see what you were flagged at and if he didn't radar you they have no case against you. You'll walk free and clear everytime.

V1 is the best, hands down. The escort series has been catching up, but still not as good, IMO [as has been proven by the GoL tests and other tests] Couple it with a blinder M20/25 for laser, and you have some pretty effective countermeasures :)

The arrows are always underestimated, but anyone that has/has had a V1 will tell you that once you have them, you wouldn't want to be without them.

anyone here used a Beltronic RX65 Pro? The comparative survey seems to conclude the V1 is far superior against all radars?? I am in a market for a good detector.

I haven't gone naked (no radar detector) for the last 30 years....Started with an Escort (got stolen), went to Passport (still have it somewhere, but it's obsolete now), and then I had BEL. I had to do a blitz and went from Indy to Oscoda Mich in 5 1/2 hrs (AVG over 80 mph including gas stops)... Funny thing the BEL didn't make a peep for the entire way, thought it kinda odd, but hey, I survived it.

Two days later I get tagged in the middle of the beltway for 65 in a 55 with a CS ticket in the middle of traffic, where I get picked out because I was the only sports car... Can only imagine what it would have cost me for running 90+ in a 70 zone if I had been tagged on the road, I guess if I had to learn a lesson it wasn't nearly as expensive as it could have been...

Took it in to the repair place (the repair center for the whole country was here in Indy) they tested it and said yup, it's broken, so the fixed it for free, but I got to pay $100 for the ticket... They were nice and apologized, but didn't offer to pay the ticket either..

I still have the working BEL, it sits in the bottom of my workbench in the garage...

A V1 sits on my dash....

    PS.
    Never a ticket since then

Another happy V1 owner here. Remember that there is no radar detector that is going to make you radar ticket proof. You still have to use some thought. Luckily the V1 gives you about as much info and warning that you can get to make the right choices. It still cannot protect you from instant on radar when you are the only car on the road. Always select a rabbit for your illegal speed sessions, esp on the highway. Rabbit = some no-radar speeding idiot that wants to show off to the hot Ferrari in his wacked Subbie. He gets the tag; you sail on by.

Thx Solofast. You've and others have answered my question and concerns. I'm going out and buy a V1. BTW, what's a CS ticket? I'm new to Fchat.
