They made as many CGT as F40s . Actually a little less . CGTs have already gone down in value and up again . 2 years ago you could find low mileage cars for 350k or less.

Haven't you heard of the "weather-proof car cover?" Sheesh :D

That's a ~$200 fix for your dire situation.

as nice as the CGT is, I would still hold on to the F40. Just stop and think about how many F40's you see come up for sale? there are a lot more CGT's still around too. People total cars left and right, so if they made 1000 of them there might only be 800 of them left. 10 years from now its not going to look better($$$ is going up)!

There are far more US- CGT's delivered then F40's.

Unless you are looking at a rare color exterior/interior options, the CGT will likely be close to holding it's value, as it's generally done so far....

Choice A: garage expansion. Already planned, but not happening immediately?

Choice B: secure lease on local warehouse, install nice lights, lifts, shiny floor, and mother of all fire protection systems. Added benefit is not having this problem again for quite some time. Maybe none are available in close enough proximity?

Choice C: Sell one car (the one you like to drive less, of course) to Fchatter / friend who will store and maintain it properly, plus give buyback-anytime and first-right-of-refusal assurances.

you guys really arent listening to the problem. He needs to sell the car not because he doesnt have other options like storing it somewhere else, but because his wife is forcing him.

Can you find a friend to "sell" it too, who will sell it back to you when you are ready? Then agree to sell it for only like 50k, and buy it back for that much. That way youve sold your car and youll be getting the same one back at a guaranteed price. Just make sure you can trust your friend!

If that was the case, give it to a friend and keep it in your name. No tax, no fuss.

If i were in your situation i'd try to keep both of those cars and sell one of your others.

If it ABSOLUTELY has to be one of those 2 cars, i'd sell the CGT. I LOVE everything about the CGT, and think it is the best sounding car from the factory ever. However, there is something about the F40 that really makes it a keeper.

    If there's a will there's a way.

PS; Dump the Murci (cant believe I just wrote that), keep the F40 and CGT.

Yea, I want to see ALL the garages! Full to the brim w/ hot cars.

It does strike me as odd, that only now after 30 cars the wife is complaining? WTF! 30/31, 220/221, WHO CARES?! At that point why does it matter? Obviously the wife does care for some reason, but my guess is that it is NOT because it is the 31st car still owned...I suspect there is another deeper reason that maybe only she knows. Good luck w/ the decision. It will be interesting to see how you resolve this...

    Best,
    James

    You are my hero.

Why not ditch something like the 360 Spider? Buy that sucker back a year later for a lot less than you sold it for.

Hilarious that you lied to the wife about the price of the F50. When my grandma questioned my grandpa about buying a new car every year, he said "I'm an adult. I have a good job. I can do that if I want to."

That was two generations ago and things are different. Wife thinks I am a liar anyway so whats one more lie. I will tell her that the car is sold and will send it to a buddy of mine that I bought the F50 from and just get it back in couple of months. Enough of this thread and lets go on to the next chapter. I really dont want to get rid of the spider because that is such a user friendly car and I will lose my ass off since I have over $200K into it. Wife knows what these cars go for and the reason the ultimatum was the F40 or CGT is because I paid over $400K for the CGT and over $500K for the F40 and I still have a mortgage on one of our vacation homes that she really likes. I rather pay $4K per month than come up with $1.2 million for the shack and use the money to buy more cars or other toys. She just thinks I am irresponsible but so what. I dont really care what anyone thinks.

Have no time for that why don`t you screen some for me and send me a picture. I can do that and why should I pay you a commission if I have to do some work. Get your lazy ass up and start going fishing.

She's right, you really need to grow up. It's unacceptable to have a mortgage on one of your vacation homes. Just terrible. :) :)

Agreed. It's kind've like posting "My cock has gotten so big it doesn't fit in my pants.... what should I do guys?"

The solutions are obvious. If you have 30 expensive cars, I find it hard to believe you can't buy your way out of this misery.

You bought a $500k car, but still have a mortgage out on a vacation home? And you have 29 other cars?
and you don't know which car to sell?

    Yeah, ok.
