I see this too - it is because a lot of people post links to threads and use "ferrarichat.com" while I use "www.ferrarichat.com" - the cookie that holds the login information is only found under the one you used when you logged in.

I haven't taken time to read much of this thread, so I hope this is not a repeat. A few more fun emoticons would be good.

The navigation bar at *both* the top and bottom of the screen would be nice...

I just thought of this, with my last post...maybe someone has suggested already:

Time between completing a post and getting an "edited" note at the bottom is waaaay too short. Allow five to ten minutes minimum for rethinking and corrections before edited note appears.

I'm probably gooning it up myself, but after posting a reply, I have a hard time getting back to the thread or last forum. Is it supposed to be easier? The back button doesn't do it for me.

My wish is that my own deleted posts wouldn't say "this post deleted by me". In other words, if the person deletes his own post, all public record should vanish. I could see having a record if the post was deleted by a moderator.

If you "Go Advanced", click the bullet on "Delete Message, leave the reason blank, and then click "Delete this Message", it erases the message completely.

Can you see other user's "deleted by" notes? Maybe you just see your own deleted posts?

How about someone give me an idea how to use search. I am sure I am just an idiot, but from reading this thread, I think I am not alone. If I want to find out about 360 top rams, but not the st. louis RAMS, TOP speed of a prius, or 360 EVERYTHING, how do I get it to look for posts with all three words, in any order?

Also, is there a way I can make the default for any thread I post to that I want to subscribe to that post with email notification, or do I have to remember to select that every time I join the conversation in a thread?

I have the opposite problem. As soon as the post appears I notice the typo in the first few words. Keep the timing as it is. Better to get it right before anyone sees it. Or delete the foolish post before anyone sees it.

I've consolidated all the feedback so far below...

    • Search Engine Improvement - Most feedback revolved around improving the search functionality. I will look into upgrades of this system. There is somewhat of an art to the current system, but we'll look at better results and more user friendly. In regards to the time required between searches we have that in place so the overall community is quicker. I will look into how to decrease the time for subscribers.
    • Auto resize Images - I will look at implementing this.
    • FerrariAds.com - Overall improvement to the classified ads software.
    • Spell Check - We tried a spell check 6-7 years ago and it wasn't popular, but we'll look into some new systems.
    • Mobile/PDA version of FerrariChat.com
    • First time user tutorial
    • Tech article reference/how to's
    • More updated optional skin/design
    • Image search
    • Pics in PM's

Any good system must seek and implement changes that improve the product and customer satisfaction. You are asking the right questions.
You never want to stay the same. Always improve. Always grow.

My pet peeve is that the forum does not have a "remember me" function at log in. If I go answer the phone I come back and have to log in again.
