Did the 360 seats bolt right in? Are they power as well?

No. Had to have new brackets made up. Plus the drivers side recliner knob had to be removed as it got in the way of the handbrake. They are'nt powered. there is an electrical wire on the seats, but not sure what it is for. Seatbelt warning light perhaps?

Simply Briliant Sy!!!! It looks a lot better than I could have imagined.. :D!!! Lets see, your 348 is: nero, gets driven, nero, has tasteful interior mods, nero, 355 wheels, nero and now has a great scud stripe :D!!!!! IMO your car is next in line to Andy Hills in overall 348 greatness..... :D! :D!!!!

+1......... they have that 'competition' look to them :)!

+2 .......... I think Andy Hill is having a positive effect on Sy .............

Ernie you need small L brackets and pop rivit them in and then screw the covers on, problem is that its a one way operation, once on you cant take them off ,or you have holes around the lights..

    Angelis, WOW that looks great!
I never, ever would have thought stripes on a 348 could look that good!
I truly love the look from the front, it makes the car more modern and aggressive. From the back, for me it doesn't have the same feel it seems a little off.
But great work cant wait to see whats next!

Are those 355 or 360 Sport seats, and where did you source them from? Who stocks the 360 Challenge steering wheel?

    Thanks......

    Dino,
Daniel at Ricambi has, or at least had the challenge steering wheels. I think one in my car and one in yours would look great...waddaya think?

I'm thinking that might be a bit too dark maybe???

I was think of a silvery gold type colour...or is that too yukky??

Thanks Oz. I've had a few people contact me for the measurements as they want to put it on their cars. Just waiting to get approval from teh guy who took teh pics and then I'll post them up.

Only downside is that I still get the usual "why don't you get a 355??" crap from certain people elsewhere.

This is the only place I feel comfortable posting & discussing any mods now. :(

Yes Dino. They are 360 carbon seats. Hard to get hold off, but utterly wonderful to sit in.

You can get the steering wheel off Ricambi.

For the money, best purchase I've made so far!!! :D

A must have for all 348's in my opinion.....with the added bonus of not fitting in most 355's due to the airbags. :D :D :D

The 355 is for an entirely different driver. It's got power steering, power seats, airbags, power-adjustable shocks, a power convertible top for the Spiders, power exhaust bypass valve, etc.

It's a great car...but purists and budget racers aren't its target audience.

The 348 has none of the above added weight/complexity, yet can handle as well or better and be more easily tuned (e.g. Motronic 2.7, no rear O2 sensors). Heck, I don't want power locks or power windows if they are Italian!

And I couldn't take my 2 year old in the baby seat if my 348 had airbags.

Or put another way, a more complex Ferrari would have been intimidating (to me, maybe everyone else has bigger cajones) as a first exotic.

With the 348, I knew that everything bolted on and could be unbolted off for repair or replacement. I don't have to deal with using an SD2 to reset the PIS when I change my 348 clutch, but 355 F1 owners do.

I just unbolt the old and bolt on the new clutch.

Now, after being intimate with this particular 348 for 3 years...I could easily transition into a more complex Ferrari, if I get a wild hair. I looked at two red/tan 575's here in town this week, for instance...but somehow I couldn't get my mind wrapped around drifting either one on my track, knowing what it would take to repair the inevitable damage that I would do to one.

    That's one tight engine compartment!

Besides, my 348 is just plain fun. Tough to justify anything else, it seems (at least, so far).

To butt in here, You actually have a point there. the 348 Primer is a very informative read with a lot of knowledge. All 355 owners have is this effort:( http://www.the355.com/mambo/index.php
A opportunity wasted thats not a patch on the 348s site..

    Thanks for the kind words.

(it would be more fun than a 355 Primer to be writing up the F50 Primer or Enzo Primer, though the audience is a bit small to appreciate any real effort there)
