This is what I've heard - Tamiya Canada expects an Air shipment next week or so. We will receive a portion of our allotment at that time and the balance shipped via container ship aprox 4-6 weeks after.

Thanks for the update. If this is the case then I wonder why Derrick say he would receive them by the end of May?

I haven't seen them listed by a reputable seller in the states yet. I ordered mine from a certain site in Canda (as did several others here) - the price was very reasonable.

I agree. If you've got the other 4 Ferraris in 1:12 (250 GTO, F40, F50, Enzo,) you can't be without this one. I guess if you're a "casual" collector that isn't you could take it or leave it though...

If I had more money to use up on diecast I would get it. I have a lot of Ferrari diecast, but most of the nice stuff in the collection is from me getting a really good deal on it. I don't think I have ever spent more then $100.00 on anything in my collection, yet I have cars in it that are worth well over that. I'm sure though with a little more funds to throw into it I would be less casual about it. The 288 really is amazing though.

I assume that since you've not spent more than $100 on a model that you don't have any 1:12's? You should really get a look at the Tamiya Enzo, resin or not, it's stunning.

I will take a look at the Enzo. I do like how the F50 looks and I'm not even a real 1:1 F50 fan.
