I forgot to mention the best part of having aftermarket headers with no heat shields...the ability to measure temperature of each cylinder to make sure they're all the same. Running lean can cause major problems, and I'd think that with an IR gun you could measure any significant differences between cylinders.

Carlissimo - this is basically the same coating as you can find on the Airborn coating website. I had it done locally in CT though.

The Header Deal is back for a short time. If you want to buy do it quick. I talked to Jason today and price is $2450 and that includes shipping. He told me this is only for a short time and he has no way of knowing exactly when they will increase so order now if you want them. I ordered today!!!!

On a side note he did not exactly recommend coating them unless I was going to do a lot of driving saying the heat is lowered by a small amount by ceramic coating any other opinions out there. The nice part was Jason told me if I had them coated anyway it would not void the lifetime warranty by Fabspeed!!!!!!

I might have to give you a call!!! I still need my high flow cat converters and bypass pipe before I start the install. I'm gonna need to recover financially as I spent a lot on the the tubi and fabspeed headers. I'll be ready to buy the rest in a month or so. Thanks for the offer. Funny you mentioned thought I just started a thread hoping someone knows about catalytic converter simulators as my mechanics says I really need to check into them if I am going to put on high flow cats. Have you ever messed with them? Thanks Again

I had mine installed duriny 30k - they are awsome, sound is great and heat is relativly low. I am working on a heat shield for alternator (I had to rebuild after 40+ miles, so I think it was not related - could have been poor ground connection- it was lose/having oil all over from service may have had something to do with problem)

Got my new pipes the other day. Am testing the theory that you can replace the headers with engine in the car in 8 hours. Took me about 8 hours to get the old ones out. It's amazing how tight everything is. Will post some pics soon.

8 Hours is probably right on for someone who has done a number of 355s before. It also assumes everything goes perfectly and there are no surprises. In my case I had to deal with rounded off header nuts thanks to the Ferrari Dealer that did the warranty header replacement years ago. Got them out finally, but it took a while. The trick turned out to be a 6 point socket.

I see that (joefab) has just posted a thread on discounting the $2995. by $175....:) not as good as the group buy but better.

I just wanted to see if anyone has had any problems (i.e. heat) with any parts in the engine, alt or other? Thanks for the input.

P.S. he posted pictures in the new post, WOW they are nice.:D

Just installed mine this week. Changed them out with the engine installed. Here are the "before" and "after" pictures. They are beautiful and fit perfectly. Sound great too. The craftsmanship level of the Fabspeeds is obviously very high. Made a custom heat shield for the alternator. It is designed to match the CV boot heat shields. Also insulated a few plastic parts and wires to protect them from the heat. So far no heat related issues have come up.

Take care of your engine mountings, they are very close to the headers !
