Well, I've got my blue/tan, 1995, 33,000 mile, books & tools, complete service history since new, windows done, fully serviced, 456GT listed for $69,900 at RTGT, if that's any help.

I'll be interested to hear what you come up with!

All 1995s are 6-speed. There were no 1996s in the US, and the automatic came out in 1997.

$60-75k, closer to $60k with lack of books/tools and still window problem. I'm talking bid, not ask.

I would guess that this deal gets done in the 65-70 range. The sad fact is that the market is very thin. Not many people want a perfect 13 yr old Ferrari 2+2 with a V12.

Too bad for sellers and great for buyers. Same thing as afflicts the 410 and 412.

When I hear no books / no tools the first thing I ask is Why? How well was the car taken care of if the owner's didn't even care enough to keep track of these items. I suspect sellling price will be between 50-59K. Sorry. Just MHO.

The books and tools were came to an unfortuante end that I would rather not explain! The first owner retained the luggage....how many 456's still have luggage?

Congrats to Don V and RTGT, if the car sells for close to this I think you will have done well.

I heard FofSF had a 37,000 mile car with a fresh service for $59,000 though I have not verified this.

I would suspect $50-$55K is the money on the car.

Rather disheartening that (as always) quattro posti Ferrari's are worth so little!

PM me if you have any interest!

    Cheers

Wow guys. There was a really good 412 that made those numbers last year.

I think that most of us would agree that there is a gulf between those two models.

I think you got it. Better examples in the 65-75k range.

FofSF will typically be a few K above norm, due to factory dealership and feeling one gets buying from such.

IF you get a good PPI [ask me how I know], you might get a good deal. Manuals and some papers, and tools can be replaced. But the windows never seem to get truly fixed and can be in the $8k area if not already done: The remaining 'character' air gap --typically on driver's side, even if RHD isn't too bad [Note to self, fix that gap]. Check the radiator for leaks, rear shocks for 'sounds', gas smell -- usually minor but if there expect some fixin's, SEAT stuff and there is more/minor stuff [leather shrink, air-control crinkle, intake/exhaust sounds??. Although, the rear spoiler might be on blink, it can usually be easily fixed.

Take the low bid and work from there.

WOW! You got all the money out of that one. Not sure the post after yours would agree w/ me on this... Of course yours was an M, so I can see that might be a bit depressing. While the GT is probably more fun to drive for an enthusiast, the car really lends itself to the autobox...

What are you going to get now? Or do you already have something?

we're not talking about which gearbox you prefer, we're talking about the valuation and manuals are $10-20k higher than autos on the 456. Granted, the high end, but just a couple months ago...

Thank you for your message James, much appreciated. I have yet to decide on her replacement. I may wait for the Grand Tourismo S...

It did not hit me until I show her being driven away... Still in mourning.

    Kind regards,

    Konstantinos

The car at RTGT looks to be very nice. I'm debating on selling/trading in my Mondial t towards a 456GT (95-97). I have a lead on a 1997 blue/brown 6-speed 15k miles, but having OBDII problems (and I've searched the forum high and low with little luck tracking how to solve the problem). Car runs fine, mechanic is having a hard time getting the problems in memory gone. Referree refused to pass, so now he's stuck (and this is the car I was looking at but OBDII seems to be more headaches than its worth).
