Nobody is trying to keep "non-members" away in the sense you imply. What the Club is trying to avoid is the appearance of a group of unknown drivers that feel they have to "prove" something with aggressive actions, maneuvers with the possibility of devastating results. This is why times, locations and details of the drives are not advertised on the internet. We would like to be able to enjoy our cars and the drive without being harrassed by "divebombers" etc.................. Any fan of ANY great car is welcome, I am happy to share my enthusiasm with them, maybe even go for a drive................ The cars will be in Cannon Beach all weekend and on public display downtown from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Come on by and introduce yourself.
No one is going I guess? I am leaving in the morning group. See you all there. I will have a surprise
Side note/warning: I was over that way this past weekend and 26 is still littered with gravel from all the recent snow. In fact there was still snow off the roadway in the bushes, etc. Each one of those "tick-ping-whack" noises isn't going to be friendly to your paint.
Thank God for clear bra and keeping your distance from the drivers in front of you. There will be alot of Gravel that is for sure
I'm leaving in the PDX PM group. The F40 is fueled, has new tires, and the new exhaust. It sounds CRAZZZZZZY! I love it! See everyone there! SJ
Well, I'm officially bummed out... I injured my back (strained latissimus dorsi) last Friday and was hoping to have recuperated in time to join the Friday group, but I'm still hurting and popping muscle relaxers, so I think I'm going to have to sit this one out. I may try to cruise down Saturday with my wife for part of the day... at least the car show if not dinner/auction... In any case, I never did get the email from Steve W. as to the meeting place... if someone can PM it to me, I might at least drop down the hill to grab a few pics if I'm feeling up to it. If not, hope to see you all Saturday. Have fun and keep 'em shiny side up. Tad
Business commitments are going to keep Kat and I from heading over to the coast this weekend. Everyone have fun and be safe!
