Hey everyone, After a VERY LONG TIME of being on "hiatus" (and for fear of people thinking I'm totally MIA)... I'd just like to say a very warm HELLO to So Cal Fchatters... For old friends, I still have the 456 (and she's now up and running strong)...and for those I haven't met yet, I hope we cross paths soon! In any case, I would love to get re-acquianted with everyone soon... there are lots to catch up on and many miles to drive!! Cheers, Byron Ferrari Driving Club
So good to hear from you. Your name came up in conversation on Sunday. I just figured you we're still in the honeymoon stage of your marriage and you'll be back when you are ready. Glad to have you back.
Byron, good to hear from you. I'll be visiting one of the old FDC haunts this weekend. Let's go for a drive soon.
Thanks for the warm welcome back, guys... A - I think the honeymoon stage lasts forever, right? In any case, I am absolutely thrilled to be back! Thanks to Alan @ FOC, my car is in fine working order. We've had some changes with FDC, but nothing that will keep us from "driving and driving often." JL has moved to another region (AZ), but doing well. With our fine weather coming around the corner, I'm thinking... 'tis the season to be back on the roads! Now, if only we can pick the right type of event to kickstart things... Here are my ideas: - St. Regis Breakfast / Drive - Santa Barbara Run - Angeles Crest Run - Others? Truthfully, it's tough to get back into gear again, but I think with the level of enthusiasm of the local F-car crowd, we will gain some serious momentum again and have some killer drives!! Byron
Hey are you a father yet? Congrats by the way I found out the good news from Arick while racing with TCRA. He still runs their registration. Give my best to M.. She is a fine catch.
welcome back Byron. the FDC outings were some of the funnest times I have had in my F-car experience.
Hey Byron, nice to hear from you again! I was just at the shopping center by you the other day and thought about you. I've been kind of MIA myself since Im graduating and moving to Texas with my fiance. Congratulations on your marriage! Maybe I'll run into you before I move!
Byron & Jean Louis ran the FDC. They always had 1st class events with great turnouts and great drives.
If anyone plans a drive up this way I will be glad to show you some of my favorite backroads. I look forward to meeting all of you
Byron! long time no see, I've recently come back to ferrari chat too, been too involved in the muscle car croud I look forward to those drives, I'm sure my dad and I can come out to them. and Jordan, same goes to you, long time no see. Glad to hear both of you are doing great!
Thanks Tim, Jon, all, for the warm welcome and kind words. There seems to be a few great events going on this month, like Jon's SB run, the Veloce event, and many others. I will shoot for June to kick things off again for a fun run, then go from there! Jean-Louis, sadly, has moved out of the state (AZ), but is active with the F-car group there. I will, for the time being, try to get the ball rolling again and hopefully, we can have some great events! Looking forward to seeing everyone again. Byron
You're not alone Byron, I need to get back in the swing of things to (now that I live every other weekend in San Francisco).
Hey Byron, Reminder not to book an event the same day as the LA Concours at the Rose Bowl on June 1. Look forward to your next one. www.LAConcours.com
