I'm looking to add to the stable and was curious if there is such thing as a 355 GTS Fiorano edition? Thx in advance. JDK
NO----All Serie Fiorano cars were Spiders... There are 355 GTS in Fiorano red color--that's as close as you'll get...
From what I understand .... all 'fiorano' 355s were spiders. Though it may be possible to find a 355 GTS with 'fiorano' handling package.
Thanks guys. One last question, did the GTS run from '95 through '99 or were there just certain year production runs?
My car is titled a 1995 but has a 1994 build date. My car is NOTHING like a 1995. I have many differences that only D. Helms and B. Crall would believe/confirm on this forum. Dave tells me the 94 heads even flow better if I'm not mistaken. 285 says that no true 1994's were brought in the US I believe. He may have more info on this........ Point is, 1994 build date gets you all of the above, this I know....... My 2 cents
Nothing like a '95!? What is your car like? a 348? lol ok but, both of your cars a 1995 model year. Its totally typical for manufacturers to begin building cars for any given model year, in Sept-Oct of the previous year. Robbie indicates that there was a 1994 model year for the 355, that's what i'm interested in hearing about. I'm also curious about jetfixr's car, ive seen Reg's car in person a few times.. its exactly like a '95!!
Here are simply a few differences: Neoprene plug cover gaskets Gauge pod warning lamp arrangements Different underbody tray Different pistons-YES I confirmed this-20 grams lighter, ask Daniel Twin pumps and fuel filters Heads-Dave Helms confirm Fuel system hoses go directly to each injector rail rather than the fuel leak prone distribution block Some emmision control items are different as well. Give me some time and I'll think of a whole lot more Keep in mind I have my 1995 (94 build date), another 1995 with a true 1995 build date (friends car) and my 1998 all sitting in the hangar. Trust me they are 3 completely different cars. It was shocking to say the least the more I researched.
My Oct 94, (95 MY) has these features. It might have more. I'm not sure. Either way, its the best 355 year ever.
Yes, the F355 started life in 1994----all those cars as far as I know where Euro versions and sold in the UK/Europe only. None where brought over here as 1994 cars. Alot of 1995 cars have 1994 build dates, but for year purposes are classified as 1995 cars...There are a few in the registry, but trying to get info on Euro cars is very difficult---they VIN's are different with no year indicators.....Without a build date plate, no one can tell the difference between a 1996-1999 Euro car...Hope this makes some sense..
Mid year 94's had a completely differant belly pan. Small access cover to drain the oil tank if one was feeling lucky, that was ususally only tried once. I believe we have (6) 94's in the area. Three that are early enough for the Neoprened spark plug covers for which there is no part listing and FNA denies that was ever made..... Every time a request hit FNA back then for these gaskets a call would be returned to the tech making the request with an offer to buy the engine and replace it with a new one. Seems some of the well funded Challange teams had a mole in the FNA parts dept. Not much a well placed bribe cant buy you in this market. Dave
