Did you ever notice no matter which one you prefer, you always ask for a Coke, in a restaurant for instance?

You never say..............."I'll have a Pepsi". You always seem to say "I'll have a Coke".

And then they have to ask you if Pepsi is a suitable replacement.

i bought a six pack of dublin dr pepper a while back, and it sure was good, but for the price i paid (about 9 bucks for the six pack) i think i'll stick to dr. pepper.

about people ordering a "coke" instead of "pepsi" at a restaurant, that doesn't bother me, but what does is when someone says "pop" for some reason, i can't stand that word.

I'm the exact opposite - I like leaded Pepsi and unleaded Coke.

If it wasn't for fountain sales (McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's, etc.) Pepsi would outsell Coke.

Check out this map for regional naming conventions for 'carbonated flavored sugar water'

    http://popvssoda.com:2998/countystats/total-county.html

I guess the 'other' catagory includes 'soda pop' which seemed redundent to me.

    I prefer Diet Coke.

Interesting, but I can't find a reference to this. Does this include all brands owned by pepsi vs coke or just the two colas?

as a side note, does anyone have any info on soda fountains for home? what the costs are and what's needed to install them? (i'm currently planning by bachelor pad, :))

You ain't lived until you've opened the door before Grand Opening and seen Coke and Pepsi guys with coolers on dollies battling for the spot in Grocery stores...

Actually, while exclusivity does have it's rewards via incentives, some McDonald's carry Pepsi products, when Pepsi waves enough green - particularly for non-carbonated drinks.

Pepsico has lifetime contracts with Yum! Brands - a spinoff of Pepsi.
In 2007, Yum!'s global sales totalled more than US$10 billion
