Traded the F430 for a 997 Turbo

My 993TT has about 80K kilometers, 48K miles. The selection/supply in Canada is awful, relative to the US, as are prices. It's really worth finding one on autotrader.com or, especially the 'Rennlist' Porsche forums, and bringing it into Cdn. I've seen some great buys, especially by 993TT enthusiasts who have done discreet but significant performance enhancing mods -- bigger turbos +waste gates + billet valve diverters, reprogrammed ecu + sports cats, lightweight flywheel, heavy duty clutch plate, light weight battery, suspension. I very much enjoy the process of adding mods, one-by-one, and feeling the difference. The mods I just mentioned are on my car now.

The 993 was Porsche's last Aircooled engine, and did you know Porsche makes the most profit per a car over any manufacture out there?

This was for sale a little while ago. It is in immaculate shape and it was owned by Jerry Seinfeld. I believe it sold for more than MSRP brand new.

thats a turbo "s" though totally different beast and MY dream car, had a yellow one once that i got to drive for a week..one of the best weeks of my life!

The Seinfeld car was originally at Sloan motorcars and i guess those guys bought it...sloan cars is where you want to go for rare porsches...

 

not true.. I have 50,000 k on my 430 spider.. I drive it rain or snow.. Its just a car, I drive my G500 if its bad out and my E55 with friends.. The 430 is the best daily driver I have ever had !!

 

I have no desire to drive any sports car everyday, not sure how you drive a 430 in the snow, I can't even get my mercedes out of the driveway when it's snowing.

 

You're a rare individual and I salute you. 90% of F owners tend to do the opposite, driving less than 5K a year. You're obviously enjoying your 430 driving experience.

Its not the ideal winter car but it can be fun..

I put on winter tires and drive the thing all year round, a very practical car the 997 turbo.

 

finance mine in a year or two, better yet become a partner and just drive inventory that way your making money and driving the cars you love!
