Does anyone know where i can get a flywheel for a 355 CH for less than $4k? Or has replaced their 355 CH flywheel with some other product?

A custom one would likely be higher quality, lighter and definitely cheaper. Contact AP Racing or Tilton.

Let me start over. I have a 355 Ch 1995 and I am having some problems with clutch slippage. The reason is oil is getting into the clutch housing. What should I do? My local mechanic said I should replace the flywheel to resolve this problem.

What sort of oil? Could be gearbox oil (shaft seals leaking) or hydraulic fluid (slave cylinder leaking). It's an easy job to remove the clutch housing and have a look rather than guessing and buying a new flywheel.

Take your mechanic out back and punch him in the belly.

Most leakage is cured with new seals (or throwout bearing), not a new flywheel!

Your backyard mechanic is smoking crack!!:eek:

There seems to be a lot of mechanics out there smoking crack as of late.:rolleyes:

Already great advice posted here. Remove the clutch pumpkin and have a look in there and see whats going on. :):)
