I just signed up for the FCA Spring Drive. Who else is going?
I'm going to try but without the toy, just the Vette. Worse case plant o see them take off and snap some shots. For sure you will enjoy the cruise.
That would great to have you and Rick there at least to take some photos. I am surprised at the lack of response to this posting. In the words of Buzz McCallister: A. Those going on the drive do not look at or post on FChat 2. My wife and I are the only ones going on the drive D. No one wants to admit to going on the drive My wife and I are looking forward to a fun drive on Saturday.
Wish I were going. Darn kids' soccer games and one of two Mother's Day weekend lunches! Grrrr! I hope everyone has a great time!
I assumed that the low turn out was due to the large number of F chatters who will be attending Sesame Street Live with me at the Allstate Arena.
Yeah...there's often been very little or no response to organized drives posted here. Don't know why.... Personally, that's why I had the car in the first place. To Drive it and Enjoy it, especially with others with the same cars and interests. Not just look at it parked in my garage...C'est la vie....
Not sure that few responses on here are indicative of a low turn out at the drive: FCA folks aren't posting here much.
I'm going, and taking the Boxer. I really want to hear it's new, nearly unsilenced exhaust system on the open road. The latest weather report shows a sunny forecast in the 60's for Saturday. Talked to two other 12 cyl owners on the phone today that are also going. Dave
I received the FCA e-mail. The web site says need to be a member. I currently am not a member. I don't know how strict they are. I also have kids baseball and sectional track meet Sat. morn. So I would not be attending anyway. I would otherwise like to go on the drive.
Several reasons, one Mother's Day - not a good day to be doing this if you want to keep your Ferrari and the other having to be a member. I went just to take pics two years ago and landed up being convinced to go on the cruise and I only had my Taurus. Well everyone thought Taurus>Bull>Lambo>Ferrari, hey close enough reason. Had a great time.
I may show up at the start, but we have committments at noon. Maybe me and the boy will just come and cruise the parking lot before everyone leaves.
That's Billiam for ya. Never says a word but just sits back and watches! Luv ya Mr. Buttcrack!! The Emp

Spring weather in Chicago....What a difference a day makes. A kick off FCA drive for the season, this one hit a home run for me. A good test run for the Boxer after it's engine out major, prepping for the July drive to Toronto. The car ran great. Also a great test for the modded Borla exhaust. I wouldn't want it any louder. I have posted a couple of YouTube video's for my fellow F-Chat Boxer owners as we have been exchanging exhaust notes. If you want to view the videos, click the below links. Use headphones for the best audio effect. Speed, (I never broke the limit) where, & when are "classified". I only know my name, rank, & serial number, so I plead the 5th, or insanity which ever one works! The fly-by video was taken by Norbert out of his 308's window. Videos: Up Through The Gears On A Straight (Interior) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oZMp429P3U Fly-By http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUGuFbffw3k The three course, sit down lunch was served at Kirsch's Restaurant at the French Country Inn at Lake Como. I had the Salmon which fit's my new restricted diet perfectly. A special Chef's award was presented to Bill Rosen for his 365. The Chef stated "there's just something about a car fitted with an 8-track". Congrats to Bill, It's a gorgeous award. To Bill's friend "Kat", it was great meeting you. A very rare 208GTB showed up. It's owner, an Air Force F-16 pilot based in Ohio was sitting at our table with his wife. The 208 has the Euro license plate on the front. You never know what interesting people show for these events. The next time I see him I have to ask him: a ride in the Boxer for a ride in an F-16? I already know the answer, but it never hurts to ask. A special thanks to Pete & Hugh for putting this event together. It sure was a great drive. Enjoy the below pictures. I will be adding a gallery to the FCA Central States website as well.
