    Hi,
    For my 1987 328 GTS

    Michellin Pilot Sport or
    Pirelli P Zero?

I'm looking for the best handling/traction. Excellent dry and as good as possible wet.

    Thanks

My 328 has the Pilot Sport. Good tire - not very quiet. But you're
not going 'hear the difference' in a 328.

I also have them on my Mercedes E500 - I can REALLY hear them
there! But I drive the Merc a LOT, and in the rain - hard to beat the
Pilot Sport in rain... I've gone 90 in a downpour, and it felt like
    dry pavement.

But NOT a 'quiet' tire by a long stretch!

I'm happy with my Pirellis. But then, I haven't compared them with anything else on my Ferrari.

With the miles I put on, I like the Kumho Ecsta <flavor du jour>. Not super sticky, but I don't need that in my commute

neither, I went with Goodyear F1 GS-D3 - great handling wet or dry, quiet, long lasting.

I've just bought the Dunlop Fast Response. They are rated with 4,5 stars of total 5 to give for grip in wet and dry weatherconditions.
It's always handy to read the tests that can be found on the web.

    regards Marcel

I have Goodyear F1 GS-D3 on my 328 (put them on in '06). Its a great summer tire and I'm very happy with them. Pilot Sports were probably fine years ago, but they are pricey for what they offer and tire technology has come a long way in recent years. If I were shopping for tires right now, I'd also consider Bridgestone RE-01Rs or get another set of F1 GS-D3s.

    Best regards,
    Dino

Same here - great traction in the E500, but too loud on the road
On the 328, it just happens to be what it came with and they're nearly
    new so they stay

Love my Bridgestone Re-01R tires on my 328 wheels. The tread pattern is a bit odd on an old car where looks dictate a linear pattern, but man do these things grip and are smooth and quiet. Read Tire Rack's reviews.

I replaced my original GoodYear tires with Pirelli p-zero's.I am very happy with the quietness and traction /wear and I also like the Italian Pirelli name better than the others(don't laugh).Keep it all "Italian" baby....Ciao Tony

on my 308 GTB with 16" rims I have Pirelli P Zero Nero since a few weeks. Absolutely brilliant compared to my former Michelin Pilot Sport. And the thread pattern is acceptable for such an old car. Keep in mind, that now there's a Michelin Pilot Sport series 2, which is an uncompromising tire for dry track conditions. On the european website Michelin underlines the problematic behaviour under wet conditions.

The more gentle Pilot Sport series 1 is out of production.

    Best Regards from Germany

I have had Pirellis on mine for 9 years (on my second set...don't know how long the first set was on the 308 before I bought her). I love them.

I have the GSD3s on my corvette ZR-1 since I was limited on choices for my 315-35-17 tire need and I loved them, I was figuring you guys were using that tire but I wanted to check.

So on my 82 308 can anyone tell me what size I need to order for my car? I have the stock rims.
