    Hello all

    By way of background
AXA asked me to move back to London to be in Head Office.
Tomorrow I start back there offically - great stuff as a great location, company, office, job etc...

However, all quick moving & leads to housing issue.

Living with family at present & am going to rent house in Bath so can rent in London.
Am happy to camp with them for 2 - 6 months.

    Any advice on where to find places that are good to rent would be much appreciated i.e. websites that you trust;
friends who have a place; work ad boards etc.

    Not for silly money though.
I do not want to pay the premium for living alone so would ideally like to share with one other professional.

    Thanks
    Ant

sure that there is plenty of blokes out there that would jump at the chance of sharing a flat with you

Quick update - house near Bath will be sold by end of Juy - had good offer & chain free - so once sold I will rent in London.

Work colleagues giving me good advice & showing me areas / places so am sure all will be good.

May be able to get a fun weekend car again now

Im moving back to Leeds in July. Loving the cost of things up there. Lovely, very large two double bedroom apartment in a Grade 2 listed building within a gated development and 2 car park spaces - £250k or £800 per month rent !!!!

    Cool - good luck :D

Must admit it is the job & prospects that have taken me back to london - I love it.

I found work too dull in Bath/Bristol so hope you are all sorted Leeds way.
I found my house the only thing keeping me in Bath / Somerest which although lovely not enough
    - but all different courses for different horses & luck at work in my case.

A few people find work out of london just too boring.
House versus the time & prospects at work.

    Wonder what your reasons are...

My big change was getting tossed out into the curb......

Thankfully the job was going well, at the time.

Life is what happens to you while one is making plans, I suppose.

Im rom Yorkshire and simply love the County. London, Leeds and Liverpool are the best City's in the Uk and all very different.
Im also moving as i have 3 new business ventures and starting them in Yorkshire means less start up capital needed and less risk. Plus i feel the market is better for them up there.

I love London and will keep my house there, but its really starting to become a massive rip off on nearly everything you do !!!

    One way forward.
Not up for kids now for about 5 solid reasons.
Wouldn't mind a husband to share the ups & downs of life but not counting on it i.e. I am realistic!
My buzz has come from work these days which seems incredible
So relying on my own little life to carry me forward to the next stage.
Mind you getting asked out all the time right now - quite fun I guess.

Nearly got engaged to long term past boyfriend as in 'better the devil you know' - then we could get somewhere good - may have to work on that again if desperate - but NO KIDS!

    Sounds OK :D

I find I sponge off dates/lovers/work so that helps with the rip off aspect.
I don't mean to sponge - it just happens...

    Guess it is :D

The older I get I think that a good job brings more happiness than anything else - I am amazed :D
I guess you can't avoid it like you can a bad relationship.
So it has to be good... :D

May, we are philosophical, a good thing too :D

Glad your job was good at whatever juncture of life that was.
