Thanks, too bad the head lights were not a little rounder, maybe like the 997 flavor of going back. The car should be fun if you can get one.

    My pleasure.

The headlamps we just have to accept as the idiom of our time. They're similar between the 612 and 599, the Enzo, 430, and now the 149; elongated and slanted with projector elements within the housings.

I don't get it - so why did you write I was wrong in saying it will have two modes? I never said that's the main purpose (wrote about the quick shift later in the same post actually), so what was I wrong about?

I agree. The biggest mistake, IMHO, is the placement of the door handle. Had they positioned that somewhere else, the side surfacing might not look as busy.

I'll reserve judgement until I see some proper shots outside of the studio. But for now I'm surprised Ferrari have not released a shot with the roof up yet. The most recent spy pics show it has quite a nice roof profile and in the UK at any rate it is more likely to be driven with the roof up. ;)

Biggest mistake is using the Maserati platform to start with. It makes business sense; start with what you have in the parts bin for cost. Mec,GM, Porsche does it. It doesn't make sense for Ferrari not at this price point. Ferrari has made mistakes in the past and lived. They will do fine with this. The emerging markets china, india, and Russia will eat this car up. Only if you paint it white will asia like it.

I like the Alfa version of this car.

Why does the guy have to be chinese?? Anyway, Italian immigration law prohibits the hire of Chinese nationals at Ferrari plants :)

    Why would I want a re-designed Honda?

Hey, no reason to argue. I was just saying modes has nothing to do with dual clutch, it's there just to provide no poer/torque loss between shifting.

Dam you are GOOD, it even has the yellow brakes to match the shields, like my car. You are an artist. Thanks again !!!

Lower her a bit and she is starting to get there. Maybe a more aggressive front bumper.

    HEY,
you should be the designer - you can use me as a reference !!!

+1 I was going to say it looks like an S2000 and a Ferrari had a kid.

I also agree with whoever said "bring Fioravanti back" earlier in this thread!

As one who has held a Ming wine glass carved out of a single block of Jade I can say with certainty that not only can The Chinese design great things they can also make them.

At ease guys. She looks like this or that? They all look somewhat alike. How many times have you said it looks like an Accord or Camry? The same holds true with sports cars. We know the reasons why this holds true. Granted, the 1/4 shot comparison of the Alfa, Alfa wins. IMO this car will stand on her own merits.

Tail pipes a Lexus ripoff? Gimmee a break, they all have four wheels too. Anyone notice the Pagani's pipes?

I'll admit that there was a little let down at first. Similar to when I first saw the 599. I said "Poor child. She doesn't know she's ugly." I was wrong plain and simple.

I'll also admit that at the price point (and lower) something else would occupy this position in my garage. An Alfa comparison isn't fair. Is it?

She'll be fine. People will love her, you'll see. A success for the company also. Long term? We'll have to wait and see. Remember, some predicted the Dino was going to be the death of Ferrari. Today we know they were wrong.

I was at my dealer today and he mentioned that the rear picture that was released is particularly unflattering. The car looks much better in the flesh and in his view in a different colour. The more I look at the car the more I like it
