Just spent last night reading through all the "European Section" discussion posts - ach Du heiliger Strohsack!

Back in the heady days when I bought my Ferrari, this place was a great sanctuary. Wolfgang actually gave me a 'phone call which stopped me selling the Ferrari a few days after buying it when I found that no-one would insure me. The "loss" of Wolfgang, and the UK breakaway had me drifting away from F-Chat except for technical expertise where it is absolutely second to none.

I mainly post on the UK site nowadays and hadn't realised the dire straits of the German F-Chat scene.

I am returning to Germany from a 5 year posting to France in the next few weeks. Unfortunately, most of the time the 348 was in a different country to me. It would be lovely if the cameraderie of the UK site C-ould S-ee itself manifesting here. It is unbelievable to see posts "Hi it's Sunday morning and I'm driving out to xx for lunch. Anyone care to meet me there?" and then you see that this develops into an ad-hoc F-Car meet.

I'll be in Donauwörth - renting a house for the time being. I've seen an ND registered 355 (or was it a 348?) which is only just down the road.

My local dealer is Mori-Schöberl in Ingolstadt - anyone else go there?

And now, just so you know who to flash your headlights at in the Augsburg Triangle - a happy snap from yesterday at Barbegal in the Provence...
