Thank you. May your dad's soul rest in pease too. I've heard that of both moth's and butterflies. One of my friends grandparents I believe, passed away she was really close with. Every year on the anniversary she she's a butterfly. The same species, Monarch, too.
When my dad was a kid he was sent to a military school( i think) on the isle of wight in Enlgand, well apparently the old headmaster used to be crippled and in a wheelchair with a full time nurse, there was some sort of bride and apparently she pushed him into the water and he drowned where she then stole money or so the story goes, well one night my dad was sleeping in the bunks and could feel something or someone screwing around with him(touching his face or something like that) and my dad eventually woke up and yelled piss off and tried to slap the person who was bothering him in the face only to have his hand go RIGHT THROUGH this things face!!! my dad does NOT lie and i have no reason to not believe him...also apparently people would see the ghost of the old man in the wheelchair on the bridge....
any reasons why the ghost was disturbing your dad? and did he actually have the same encounter again?
this video has always freaked me out, it doesn't look like they edited in any way, but then again, who knows. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QliMoyW3XL0
I work in a haunted building. The ghost has made his presence felt/known numerous times but I have yet to meet him.
Does anyone watch the show "A Haunting"? It comes on the Discovery Channel every once in a while. Based on true stories. It's some pretty creepy stuff.
I work on an old WWII German military installation. One of Erwin Rommel's tank units was stationed here in the building I work in. Have a photo of him in front of the door I go in and out of every day. Lots of those guys didn't make it to see the end of hostilities and return home. Male? Just a hunch. When "he" knocks on the door to our secure area at 0200 hours and EVERYONE hears it (we are never working alone) it is quite loud. We have all answered the door over the years to find nothing at all on the other side. I am not sure I believe in ghosts but we have tried every physical thing we can think of to recreate the noise but to no avail. Also, (living) female soldiers tend to knock on the heavy steel vault door much softer so....... The school I went to (Murray State Univ, Murray, Ky, the Fine Arts Building is haunted.... by Vincent. He used to screw up the elevators, change lighting instruments around and cause googy things to happen to electricty circuits. He should pop-up on a Google search.
There are quite a lot of airbases in my part of the UK and many that are now no longer used. I have heard stories about people seeing ghosts of pilots dressed in flight gear from WW2.
my favorite was "mtv's fear" where they had contestants go to a "haunted" place and do various tests. i remember one set in an old prison, where they had to go into the execution chamber, that thing haunted me for years, lol.
