Another Ferrari transporter appears to be at the Gotenba(?) Racing Palace in Japan. See here; http://vtec-go-go.blog.hobidas.com/image/101_0035.JPG Nathan
Really? Any info on the asking price? I always wondered what one of those transporters might go for...
Dealer AXEL SCHUETTE asks a whoppey 500,000 Euro-price for it. A friend of mine offered 360,000 Euro - without success! Ciao! Walter
Perhaps some of the French members of this forum can help me identify the two 512S pictured below. I took these photos in 1986 on my way to the Mille Miglia. They were taken at Pozzi in Paris. I was told at the time that one of the two cars was damaged at an outing at Mas du Clos? David Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think #1050 is on the first photo and #1024 on the second photo. Here's a photo with both cars at the Mas-Du-Clos in 1984. If I remember well, I think it was the Filipinetti car that was damaged. #1024 was with Albert UDERZO, "Mr. Asterix". Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice! "Asterix" was running very fast without a potion! Now, I need a little help. I placed my Ferrari 512s 3D model on the 1970 Le mans track (wip images): If someone has good pictures of 1970 Le Mans pitlane, specially around the box #12, I'll be very glad! Thanks in advance! Alan
Ainsi que la peinture sur les bas de caisse. #1050 was owned by Prince Sangusko in Paris. Here's another photo of the car after the repairing. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Francis Which is the 512M that just has the tail in the photo on right hand side - next to 1050? Any photo of that car? Nathan
It's #1024, Albert UDERZO's car. Here is the car with n°18, again at the Mas-Du-Clos racetrack, but in 1988. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Very Nice pictures Bertocchi and company. Can you post more pictures, please? I love the old pictures, the old pictures about dealerships are very nice.
Hello David, Top picture is # 1050, red with blue and white stripe, sold by my friend Geatan Tortora from 13-Aix-en-Provence in 1972 to Daniel Marin (sales manager at Pozzi at the time and latter the CEO) who quickly resold it to Prince Sangusko with a profit: that was not the deal and Gaetan was not too happy with that... Daniel Marin is the one who crashed it at Bardinon/ Mas du Clos in 1985. Lower picture is 1024, plain red, first with Docteur Aussenac from 82-Montauban from 1975 to 1981. Then sold to Uderzo who kept it untill 1997. Both cars were maintained at Pozzi.
Thank you Patrick and others that answered. Here are two more from that same visit. Must be the nose from 1024? Did 1024 end up in the Davies collection? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
David, Yes, 1024 went later to Ed Davies. Second picture maybe 2973GT, also belonging to Prince Sangusko
I know of a nice one for sale at 14mm $. PM me if your seriously interested but real no stories cars trade in this range depending on history .
Why do I get the feeling that I am the youngest (and poorest) person reading the vintage threads? Seriously though. I just joined and these are some incredible pictures. 192 pages is absolutely rediculous though. I have school work I should be doing.
Here's a small sampling of the sorts of cars we used to drive every day, taken 1973 at Mark Dees' ranch, where the FOC used to have an annual picnic. For the S/N trackers, 0810, 5843, 8815, and 14547. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
There are a lot of great cars that one can buy for very reasonable amounts and have great fun with. You can buy a very nice 308 for less than a new Corvette.
