Troy, I can't tell you how many times I have gone out to my garage and said to myself, "Wow!, I have a Ferrari!" Just can't get enough!
She is gorgeous! Welcome to the brotherhood! About second gear try Red Line transmission oil, it should make cold shifting Much easier and smoother, you can call them and they will tell you which one to buy. I forgot the name but its a special formula designed to be easy on the synchros, you can also run a search it has been discussed a couple of times (there is a really good step by step of how to change the fluid if you want to do it yourself).
good luck with everything tom - its a real thrill finally landing one of these! i've had the car for about 10 days now and still can't pull my self out of the garage til the wee hours of the morning. i'm freaking obsessed!
hey jim - wish you were here man. my car is working really well. glad you posted as I don't have your email address - can you pm me?
hi joe - thanks. one of the reasons I bought the 348 is it's great workability. after getting up close and personal with it I am amazed at how simply laid out the mechanics are on it. very simple and sound design. you mention however that "and don't go up in flames" - is this true? The one thing I have been terrified about is how bloody hot the engine bay gets! is there a post anywhere that talks about steps to avoid fire on Ferrari's?
sorry i didn't get back to you earlier - the import was effortless - i cleared US and canada customs both in under 45 mins. thank you.
thanks! the car spent its whole life in chicago and was serviced up to the 22500k at lake forest sports cars.
