the "see" section has now changed to show what the download section used to have
looks like there are 5 pics now instead of 3 in he download section- those may have a popped up a few days ago
I'd imagine we will get more than 2 pics. Maybe Luca will do a live presentation, most likely I think we will get a video of the car- racing roof going up - like they did for the scuderia
Yawn... did I miss something? Wait...I take a look...yet another countdown. Seems like I didn't miss anything. REALLY lame
Same here. Kind of a bummer. I really wanted to see it drive out of the garage after the door went up. Not much new except for a couple more pics which means more waiting. Ferrari does know how to build excitement.
hmm, i thought the black band along the back was just a black band, altho now watching the clip at the start, i see they're lights on either side of the plate
The design details look nice in extreme close-up but become a real mess (IMHO) when the camera pulls back. I still find it very interesting that a picture with the top up hasn't been released. Is Ferrari trying to build suspense or are they trying to gently ease folks into accepting what might prove to be a controversial design?
After the design started to grow on me, this is a setback again. Especially that lines along the doors looks and the one going high up behind the seats look very strange Image Unavailable, Please Login
The more pictures I see of it the more I like it...its lines clearly reminiscent of the original California. I'm even starting to 'digest' the stacked exhausts which were my main criticism. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow now the design has really started to grow on me. The problem with picture (these ones in particular) is they make the car look really flat. But in the new picture posted above you can really get a feel of the curves, especially the one over the rear wheels. I love the way it curves from the door all the way to the back. I think in the flesh this is gonna be one sexy car!
This car gets better with more pics. The elegant Pininfarina sculptural curvature is back; the car is thoroughly thought out as the eye moves all over the car's elegant lines and shapes. You can discover the car again and again and again. My opinion is that Ferrari is something to be proud of all over again with the California. I'm sure it will have wait lists from here to the Moon.
I love it so much I'm trying to flip all five of my orders ! http://www.ferrarichat.com/ferrariads/showproduct.php?product=1308&cat=2 NO SCAMMERS
I don't know....the detailed pictures are really cheesy IMHO. The engine heat vents on the side are totally cheesy. Looks really cheap. Plastic inserts vs stamped metal or mesh or something. YUCK. It's not an innovative design, and certainly not cutting edge, and not even pleasantly retro. It's just ugly IMO. Not as ugly as a Nissan GT-R, but certainly not what I'd call gorgeous which is what I had hoped for. I'll see it in Paris in October, and maybe it will be stunning in the flesh? We'll see. From what I see so far, I sure wouldn't pick this over a Lexus LF-A for the same money. Nor would I trade in my F430, nor my spot on the list for the F430 replacement. I just think that Ferrari has lost their way in terms of styling. Trying to broaden their appeal, I guess. Enzo sold cars to finance his race team. Fiat sells Ferrari's to make a profit. And I'm not saying that's the wrong decision since it IS a business. But I don't have to like it. I prefer classic niche automakers to stay that way. But that's unrealistic in todays global economy where Nissan can sell a car that blows away ANY Ferrari in terms of lap times at the 'Ring. I'm conflicted. I want Ferrari to produce cars that are gorgeous that I can be passionate about, but I also realize they need to survive and to do so means making a profit and growing each year and that requires that they produce cars like the California I guess. And so it goes.
