    Hey Bryan,

Just got off the phone with the owner of 0502 and it goes on the block Saturday. It will be exciting to see where she ends up, hopefully with another battle for ownership.

    cheers

If that was Steve McQueen's, you might take the value with a grain of salt.

I was thinking that there really should be the famous picture (s) with Steve's autograph to go with it for that price.

It was McQueens, and because of that it went for at least double what it is worth.
I heard Eric Clapton was the buyer.

I have to wonder if that car will bring that kind of money next time it comes up?

You know, I have no idea, I'd like to think he did! His replacement at KNBC owns one (Paul Moyer's got a Daytona Spyder).

Saw him as your avatar and was wondering about the connection. I always thought he, Keith Berwick and now Charlie Rose were the best interviewers on television.

someone said it was eric clapton.

I like Eric's music....it would be cool if he had excellent taste in cars too.

Still you have to wonder if that car can carry such a price in twenty years.....or such a discrephency compared to a nice no celebrety owned lusso.

Not to worry Tom, E. Clapton does have good car-taste. You should see his Duece coupes from Roy Brizio in SFO. Very tasteful and high quality....bit like a Lusso now that I think of it......

I believe Eric Clapton used to have a RHD 250 Lusso many years ago, English registration number 3HLA. He has cool taste in cars, had a nice 275GTB/4 as well.
