    Interesting read. Congrats on the new car.

    Funny how there are really two schools on this type of "purchase event"....

    One: ....took 2 years to find my car.... insisted on records, factory perfection, full family tree.... had 8 PPIs.... found a bug splattered on the front bumper so kept looking...........
    -and-
    Two: found a cheap car on ebay, wasn't exactly what I was after, but bought it anyway and drove the p!ss out of it all the way home.

    HAhehahaa.... that's good stuff. Enjoy it (sounds like you are the type that WILL, too!).

    By the way Joe. You take way better pictures then the Ebay ad the previous owner had. The car looked dingy in the ebay ad. I wasn't feeling the blue in the ad. But I think I like it now. Looks great. Congrats again.

    Would that be an M5 or M6? I traded an '06 M6 into my ride. Had the car for 2 years.

    Yeah, to each his own. I have always wanted a 360 as far back as I can remember (and they came out the year I graduated college) but never really found it in me to buy one. I found myself able to "afford" one sporadically but I have absolutely -0- patience for long maintenance waits so I always passed. This one was well documented enough, and priced so far below wholesale that I pretty well knew that I wasn't going to get burned for more than $5000 or so. It's not a concourse car, but I have every intention of driving the snot out of it. If I had a trillion dollars in the bank, I could see buying them to collect- but you are only young once so what the hell. If you got it, run it. I figure it won't be too long till I can't even get in one, much less spend a day in the driver's seat. :)

    Once I'm done, and I'll know when I'm done- I'll get a 430 or my all-time favorite a 355 Spider. That is, if I could handle the maintenance on this one.

    Yeah, once I've spent some time with the blue I really do enjoy it. The blue interior hasn't worked the magic yet. Maybe it will.

    I'm going to order some new rotors and pads, just get it knocked out since that is the only mechanical issue right now. Get the belts & brakes done.

    ---->

    I wrecked my daily driver 06 M5 (woman on a cell phone, ran a stop sign) and wasn't looking for a daily driver to replace it. Loved that car, man sooooo many fun cars and just not enough time...

    congratulations.
    You scored a great deal on a beautiful Ferrari.
    Sorry to see the M5 go. I have never driven or even been in a 360 and am still curious on how they compare to the 355 regarding driveability.

    It would be nice to upgrade from my 355, but I can see myself falling for a used murcielago at the last minute, rather than signing for a 430 - Good write up nonetheless
