My gas pedal sticks a little when I ease into the accelerator and the car jackrabbits like I never drove a stick before.......Makes me crazy. I saw a tech spray something on the cable once, but I didn't see what it was. I don't want to spray just anything on it. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

I assume you have a 1995 355? If so, try a thread search, as there are a number of things you can try to correct this, beyond just some lubrication. It is usually not the pedal, but the cable and linkage at the engine that is the issue.

    Yes, it's a 1995 355. You're right it's the cable sticking. What else can I do?

Well, hopefully its NOT a frayed cable that is causing it to stick. :):)

It may just need lubing up mate. I lubed my cable up around 2 months ago. Is beautiful now. I did have some really good pics of me spraying the cable going from the accelerator pedal, but the pics must be on my brothers camera.:rolleyes:

Try spraying some lube on the cable at the pedal, and the cable coming through the firewall in the engine bay..........if you can get to it. :p:p

    Gary,
Dave Helms, a respected Ferrari tech says it may require careful balancing and adjustment of the throttle bodies to get rid of the problem.
