http://www.leftlanenews.com/bmw-m1-hommage-concept-headed-for-production.html I for one am very glad. It is the first new BMW I have liked in quite a while.
3 engine choices ??? That sounds suicidal. It needs to be the top of the line car that everyone strives to attain. Sharing engines = bad idea.
I got July issue of Automobile today, it was in there. It is a p-chop of a Pantera, I think. Would be interested to see the real thing.....
Guys what are values of older M1 cars these days? Say 1979 - 1980 BMW M1 with low mileage? Any idea? TIA
Send a PM(Private Message) to CMT. I recall he owned one and sold it @ Barrett Jackson or some other auction in Arizona. But, I bet someone else will chime in.
+1 and it better look 100x better/different from that concept. . . They should just source the engine from the 6litre 760 motor and either turbo charge it, or unleash as much bhp to compete with the lives of the Zonda and Veryon.
http://www.motorcargallery.com/ According to these fellows, who have 3 M1s on their site, the going rate is 'inquire'. Neil
This raises a question. Will the new 135 be coming out with an M version, and if so what will it be called...cause M1 would obviously not fit. I do like the look of the 135i. It's about the size of an old 3 series.
it will most likely have an M version, though it will be called the 135tii, getting the name from the 2002tii.
a little off topic but happened to see an original M1 today, owner said it was the last one ever made Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
great pics, i have always liked these, but i have never seen one in person. thanks for posting those. ps, i may be way off, but most M1's i have heard about, or come across ads for were $85 to $120k depending on condition and year. there is supposed to be one in Hilton Head South Carolina not far from me, but i have never seen it.
I'm pretty sure that they're ~100k at the moment, so your numbers should be correct. Edit: A couple of them at Hockenheim Image Unavailable, Please Login
BMW may be having doubts http://www.egmcartech.com/2008/08/19/report-bmw-doesnt-care-to-compete-with-the-audi-r8/ an excerpt
