I would recommend Tillack & Co. World class restoration and service of Ferrari/Maserati/Lamborghini. They have the knowledge, capability and reputation for good work on older and newer cars. I have been to their location in Redondo Beach and they are an amazing operation. They made some fixes to one of my cars before I sold it, and now service my Maserati Coupe GT.

I work for NASA/JPL and we have the reputaion for completing some interesting builds ourselves. I have not seen any operation, of any kind, match the work ethic we have - except now - Craig at Tillack & Co runs a super clean operation, there is no work being done behind closed doors, Craig is helpful and up-front with everything, and the best part - they are reasonably priced.

That is the best compliment anyone can give to a shop.

In Florida it would have to be Tim Stanford. People ship their cars from all over to him. If you have a classic, 355 or earlier he's the man.

Like the trusted family doctor who watches over the health of our loved ones, this individual possesses an unbelievable amount of knowledge, an uncanny ability to find "the root cause", a wonderful sense of humor and a level of professional and personal integrity that tops the bar.

Proud to call Eugenio my friend as well...............

    Ciao, Hank

I would have to give my vote to Eugenio at Eugenio's Ferrari Service in Southern California. He's worked on my 355 since I've bought it and I won't have anyone service the car but him. Extremely detailed and meticulous work with great customer service, not to mention a spotless workshop. 5 stars!!!

I've had great experences with NJB Automotive in Westerville Ohio. Jack Babbit and Craig Reed are straight up, Capable, and reasonably priced. Craig is about as good as they get. They have done major services as well as handled difficult diagnosis issues for me. They ,are located about 130 miles away, but they pick up and deliver in thier own closed transport. They are also known as the "FERRARI GUYS". I highly recommend them.

I've recently switched my Fcar search over to either a late model QV or a possibly a 328, might be better for me in the long run.

I've gotten alot of good advice from Eugenio. Couple of weeks ago I was there at his shop, and verbatim from Mr. Amato AIA (V.P. of FCA) who was also there at the time, "I design hospitals for a living, and this is as close to an operating room as you can get"

    So I will go here www.EugeniosFerrariService.com :)

    LOL !
I won't Chris, I'm sure he has it hidden somewhere with your name on it.

The only guy who got a shirt that day was Walter (FCA Pres.). He was picking up. His 348SS looked beautiful. My budget will just stretch for a nice 308QV. :(

Hope to meet you sometime :)

That's OK, Chris, don't fret---------I've started a campaign to get Big E to get our shirts for us, in all colors and all sizes. Personally, I like XXL in white------but he resists:-(

And as far as the concept of "a clean shop" goes; eating a sandwich off Eugenio's floor is probably safer that eating it off the plate from which it fell:)

    Cheers, Hank

Has anybody dealt with Tony Mussid in San Francisco? He works out of the 76 Union station on California and Arguello.

Alex Traverso in Scottsdale AZ - he tuned my XKE carbs by ear! and they ran perfectly after that. He has extensive FCar experience and can anything that doesn't require an SD3 480-241-8877

Andy Falbo, Fountain Hills AZ, an ex Ferrari factory tech who worked on the development program of the F40. Very tough to get an appointment as he is booked months ahead, but if you have a tough issue, he's the man

They are FANTASTIC. Master mechanics, nicest people you've ever met. They get cars from all over the east coast.

Bill Pollard @ Sport Auto in Gaylordsville, CT 860.946.7230. Highly revered and an impassioned F-guy. Does not wrench late models however.

Bill did the PPI on my current 308, which I purchased sight-unseen from Forza Motorsports in the same area. He was unfailingly personable and patient, went way beyond what I consider the "call of duty" on PPIs for two cars, and the car that I purchased held no surprises on arrival in Dallas.

He told me he doesn't work on anything past middle-late '80s Ferraris...named a cutoff model but I don't remember which one.

I'd say I wish Bill was here in Dallas, but we have our own Norwood Performance...also among the U.S.'s best in the biz.

I can't believe Carlo at Alfa of Tacoma was only mentioned once. Honest and knows Ferrari/Alfa's better than most in the country....
