What is the purpose and function of the hoses that run from intake plenum to throttle bodies on the 355????

Auxilliary air for idle control. They are all connected together to a small chamber in the plenum, itself connected to the idle control actuator.

At wide open throttle they allow for the extra air to find its way to the combustion chamber. Which in turn gives the 355 the superior power and sound much envied, always respected but never duplicated..... :D!!!!!!!!

.........ok .........ok......... ............ what he said above ..... ;)

Very interesting....so now I can say I have a turbo'ed ferrari..electirc turbo that is. What a mess....tells me alot about the efficiency of the intake at low rpm's.
I'm taking a closer look at this set-up, especially in how this contraption effects pressure/velocity in the throttle bodies at higher rpm's....guess I need to open up the plenum and see if there is a check valve that closes off these tubes above idle.....
