Yes, another one of those posts. I collected my 2007 430F1 on Saturday, and I couldn't be happier with the car. It's bog standard "resale spec" (rosso corsa/crema) but I love it and I think a first Ferrari has to be red I traded up from an Aston Martin V8 Vantage and the Ferrari is a huge step on from the Aston in terms of driving enjoyment (and everything else actually apart from pure refinement, which is very low on my priority list anyway). Still plenty comfortable enough though, I did 500+ miles in one day with very few breaks and my poor old back was fine afterwards. I drove to North Wales on Monday (pics below) to see what she could do and I wasn't disappointed - what an amazing noise at 8500 rpm! Handling is almost kart like compared to the Aston, the lower weight and faster, higher revving engine make a huge difference. No problems found so far other than my clomping big feet shoes catch the brake pedal when I go on and off the throttle, which is far from optimal. I'm wearing my slippers instead! She rides as high as a 4x4 from some angles, which is irritating, but I'll be doing a fair amount of city (speed bump) driving so I don't think I can risk lowering... Congrats!!!!! She looks perfect and those are some awesome pics!!! What a scenery!! You can always order some racing style shoes online, don't mix up the peddles! Enjoy! Thanks for posting the pics! Robert
I agree on the racing shoes.I bought a pair and the hat, keychain, miniture, coffee mug, shirt, jacket, mouse pad, Ferrari phone, paper weight, sheilds for my forklifts, and now thinking about that engine on a stand but came up $62,000 short I just love this machine. Congrats on your new car. Eric
Very nice car.... and to own a Ferrari!!!!! Great pictures and the awesome views of the landscape!!!!!!! Looks like a great place to drive.... fast.
lmao... awesome car... i bet you have a lot of windy roads..... how are the cops up there pretty cool with the occasional 150kmh when nobody is around? here in america you can go to jail for driving over 100mph. in fact, some states have mandatory minimum sentences (jailtime) for drag racing on the street.
Congrats on your new red toy and welcome to our world of F cars. Awsome pics. I have also had problems with certain shoes.
