They say they have to take the rear bumper off to add a challange grill. I seem to remember there is a magnetic transmission (F1) drain plug or screen that requires bumper off to clean. Should I ask the shop to add this serevice and what is it?

I put a challange grille on my 360 spider without removing the rear bumper - pretty straight forward and I can't see any real advantage in taking off the bumper unless other work really needs to be done.

Aint the Internet wonderful. I guess I'll get a few more quotes. Maybe someone will give me an honest no-bumper off quote.

You definitely DON'T need to remove the bumper. I had mine done 2 days ago and I watched it being fitted. It was a piece of p!ss and took 1.5 hours. Just make sure you put some masking tape on the mating surface of the bumper just to be sure that you don't mark it (although highly unlikely). A one man job.

No the bumper doesn't have come off but you need to remove the access panel behind both seats and send them to Italy to have them recalibrated. :D
On a more serious note you need to remove the front bumper to do the front challenge grills.

It's super easy. Basically if you can use a wrench, you can do it. Took about 45minutes. Simple.
