Tatum O'Neal is latest... claiming it was for research, of course. Hadn't thought of her as a Method Actor before. Nevertheless, she's joining others on the Walk of Shame - Pete Dougherty, Whitney Houston [as legend has it], Amy Winehouse... What's up with that?
amy winehouse...talk about a waste of talent, or did she even have any in the first place? it's kinda funny and sad when we're just waiting for the next celebrity to go belly up like winehouse and oneal...
I think celebrities are especially vulnerable to each of the highly physically addicting drugs such as crack, crystal meth, heroin, oxycontin, etc. (I guess even alcohol fits that description for some people). They have the deadly combination of: emotional insecurity, high levels of discretionary income, plenty of free time between work gigs, and invitations to lots of parties. So, it isn't too surprising that a handful make the news every year when their life spins out of control or they are forced to go into rehab. Also, every once in a while, some money can be made by being one of the "free spirits" in the celebrity world. Remember Dennis Rodman? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Recent collaboration from Docherty and Winehouse. Something tells me there may potentially be drugs involved in the making of this video... http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=C4Yoa4cjw4o
Hasn't this whole rockstars&drugs issue actually become much better over the last decades? Hendrix, Joplin, Morrison and countless others died from drug abuse, while today it's worth a headline if Pete Doherty collapses on a party
Don't forget plenty of sycophantic hangers-on willing to make a run to get their fix in between parties. I have a hard time feeling sympathy for a celebrity/athlete who wastes their talent through something so stupid as drugs.
It's definitely not like it was. Drugs are still a huge part of rock n roll, but it seems most people are trying to get help or don't "over use". Head from Korn, left the band to seek help he knew he needed. He's said he was tired of feeling that way, and wanted to be their for his family. He's found the Lord. I believe he may be close to playing in the band again. Scott Weiland is noteable in that he was sober for a few years and now rolling the dice again. Apparently the new STP concerts aren't getting great reviews saying Scott is incoherent and forgetting words on some songs. I have tickets for June 28th. I hope it's still going on then, and I'm greatly looking forward to it. This will probably be the last tour for STP ever.
So did Milli Vanilli. On that note I think Amy's single "rehab" sounds amazing. The producer really worked hard on that sound and it paid off.
Also didn't sing their own songs & were imposters. What was your point again? You can say Winehouse is tough to look at, troubled in her personal life, etc. But no talent? Try again.
OK.. Understood. But you not liking her music does not equate to her not having talent. Agreed? I am not a fan of her type of music either (Jazz influenced) but by most normal measurements (Industry recognition, album sales, etc), it would appear she has some talent.
it was a joke, but yes, i agree that me not liking someone's music doesn't equate to no talent, but i think we can agree william hung has no talent, but his music is good for a laugh,
I'm pretty sure that Winehouse is doing Heroin, not coke. Rick James got bloated and Winehouse is turning into a rake.
your probably right, but i had a high school friend that got turned onto cocaine and a couple of other things, to the best of my knowledge, not heroin, she was thin to begin with, but after a couple of months she was almost skin and bones.
