The 355 is not a sensible car. I have heard it said that it is possibly the biggest maintenance nightmare to ever emerge from Enzo's stable. I have owned one in the past, I saw a few of its issues first hand. But I never could shake the haunting sound of the flat crank motor when the bypass valve kicks open and the shriek begins. It drowns out all thoughts of peeling leather, of sticky plastic, of cracked headers, of bent valves, of 5 figure service calls.

So I am back, hopefully for good. Big thanks to pedalpusher who has done an amazing job keeping this car. See you at the track!

Funny you should say that.... after I tell her, I'll let you know her reaction. I am sure she will understand.

Does anyone have some body armor I could borrow?

Congrats and good luck with that! I will mourn your passing. :p

When I bought my car on eBay, I was 10 minutes from the closing bid, having bid on the car a few times during the 7-day auction. My better judgement caused my to lean over and show my wife the auction and discuss the car for about 5 minutes, not telling her, of course, that I had been an active bidder. She saw the deal and told me to go for it. Ten minutes later we owned a 348TS SS and she bit her tongue at the news. But she's a good sport. Chances are your wife really likes the Ferrari and the F-life that goes along with it. Hobnobbing with other F-wives and all. So she'll squack a little but not enough to make you get rid of the car. Probably just enough to let you know that it should have been her decision to buy it!

Welcome back to the fold - to both of you! :D

Couldn't stay away, could you? How long has it been since you sold the TR? 3-4 months maybe? What about the house? What about your wife's furniture? You don't care, do you?? HA

You are my hero. Have fun with it, hope to see you soon. Are you still having the get together the weekend of the 21st?
