some people want it oem original from the factory. if i had the CS, i would definitely pay the extra to have that oem stripe rather than an aftermarket sticker..........and as mentioned what evonick said

Cost of the stripe is immaterial to the cost of the car. Had lunch yesterday with 5 430S owners and soon to be owners and we are all equally happy to have been extorted by the factory for our stripes. You assure me that most people disagree - happy to hear that your finger is on the pulse of the Omaha Ferrari market. Learn something every day

I suppose an additional cost of $10k for a sticker is really a moot point considering the value of the car. Pardon my close-mindedness. I guess it's the Omaha pollution affecting my rational judgement...

"You assure me that most people disagree..." I would not have commented unless that aftermarket stripe was a complete debacle and everyone opted for the factory sticker. The aftermarket add-on sticker is/was popular. But who am I to have an opinion, I'm only from Omaha...

Seems to me if you want a stripe get one. If not, do not. I would certainly not buy a car with a stripe - far too pretentious and flashy. There is no evidence that a stripe will make any difference to the price of a scuderia. After all, is the person purchasing a car or the stripe?

I'll correct this for you: There is no evidence yet that a stripe will make any difference to the price of a Scuderia.

We very carefully color matched to a Scuderia we have available at the moment.
Silver or metallic in a picture will come out different every time subject to the lighting.
Be assured that it will be an absolute match to the factory product in every respect.
We are anticipating the same price as the CS stripe for the standard (Silver) Scuderia Stripe.

Haven't heard any opinions yet on an alternative color like the Gold, which looks fantastic on a white car.
    Cheers :)

I really don't understand this discussion.
If someone likes them then he/she will order them or order the car without if their liking is different.
What everyone else (who will not buy the car for whatever reasons, financial, availability ,etc) likes,is totally irrelevant......

For now we will just go with the silver, the color variants we might consider later when we have a more accurate idea of production cost and what we would have to charge for one off combinations.
As you might have noticed, the factory will do any combination that's requested.
For the silver it will be an exact replica of the factory item, including the black edging.
    Cheers :)

Whoever may be interested, here is an update on the production of a Scuderia stripe that will soon be available for sale by one of the FChat sponsors:
    Hi Paul,
Should be producing the first ones in the next few days, turned out to be more complex than the CS Stripe.
I will let you know when I have a saleable product.
You can be the first one with a Scuderia Stripe in your street.
    Regards
    Brenden

Brenden, thanks for letting me know. Is the color going to be more silver or gray? Maybe you can post some pictures when available?
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
It's actually a strong silver metallic, we were able to get a perfect match to the factory stripe on the car.
    You'll love it.
    Cheers
    Brenden

The Scuderia stripe is a touch over 8k stateside. About 2-3% of the total cost of the car at msrp and a lot less then that at market value. Its the requisite Scuderia "signature".
