    Dude,

    Italiaspeed is the website which announced:

    - 2007 Maserati Birdcage 75th (50 pieces, 700HP UNIair engine) -> nothing happened
    - 2007 "Baby" Pagani (I know for sure there will NEVER be an entry level car) -> nothing happened
    - Tons of crazy engines for Alfa Romeo (V8s, diesel V8s) -> nohing happened
    - 2009 Lamborghini SUV -> nothing happened

    All things that never happened. Funny thing is that there is no mention about the Zonda successor, even if a prototype has been spotted many times.

    This is the most credible source of information.

    No need to speculate further. It is not a replacement, merely an update to the FXX.

    This is not a test mule. It is an FXX undergoing road/track test. Typical Ferrari practice is to build the car, then tape up the body parts vulnerable to stone chips, slap on some 'test' wheels, leave off things like undertrays, and test the car. Once the test is completed, the tape is removed, new wheels/tyres installed and undertrays fitted before the car is prepared for delivery. If you visit the factory, you will see this procedure followed for every car that comes off the production line.

    You mean we are 3 pages into this thread of speculation, and that is all it is? Oh man, even I was hoping it was something new.

    The fact is - we don't know anything. Just rumors.

    Eh. :) It seems like all manufacturers do it though.

    I just saw this. I wonder if this is true. If so this would be awesome.

    And its not even the Enzo's replacement so could we be seeing 2 super cars from Ferrari? A V10 & V12?

    "Ferrari surprised many last year when it rolled out the FXX Millechili, a concept vehicle constructed from plastic and cardboard representing the supercar company’s strategy for improving its image in the eyes of environmentalists. With talk of biofuel capable models and even hybrid-electric technology making its way into future Ferraris, few would have thought there were any production plans for the distinctive concept car.

    Latest reports suggest the Millechili will be the basis of Ferrari’s next supercar, a cut-downed two-seater weighing less than 2,200 pounds (1,000kg) and packing a 600hp (450kW) V10 engine. The latest claim comes from Car and Driver, which also reports that a modified version of the F430’s aluminum space frame will underpin the new car.

    With a lengthened wheelbase of 104.3in and a raft of active aerodynamics on-board, the new car is expected to look very different to the Millechili. An estimated 300 cars will enter production in early 2010 with pricing expected to start at $500,000.

    This new model isn’t expected to be the successor to the Enzo, however. The replacement for the aging supercar is expected to be based on the FXX experimental model, which Ferrari is continuously updating and is now in its latest ‘Evolution’ stage. While the specs for the FXX are always changing, the most recent update had its 6.2L V12 engine pumping out a peak 860hp (640kW) at 9,500rpm.

    The introduction of the new dual-clutch transmission in the recently revealed California will also likely appear in more models as the advanced gearbox is both more fuel efficient and faster than the current F1-Superfast gearbox."

    I hope that it will be a V12.
    But Ferrari is thinking the good way.

    IMO, I think that the Enzo PS above is bad. The nose cone is a bit too narrow...more narrow than It should be. Over all design, I am not really into it...it doesn't seem to have fluid lines on it. If the picture was to give me insight on the next F-Super car, I think its a bad insight...on the other hand, its always nice to get a surprise on the official Unveiling of the F70...

    I'd like to see something that looks closer to the P4/5 than the Enzo

    there was an article with the Ferrari motor director who said V10 is not a good choice. So it should be more a V12 or hopefully a V8 turbo.. :)

    I love the people who make new ferrari illustrations and base them off other Ferraris. When have you seen a new Ferrari supercar that has any resemblance to an older one?

    Spot on. It will be a totally fresh design. All PS illustrations are just fantasy at this stage and not even worth commenting on.

    Well, we have two intercooled twin-supercharged V8s (288 GTO and F40) and then two naturally aspirated V12s (F50 and Enzo). So we can expect anything... I'd love to see an intercooled twin-supercharged V12 with 1000hp and the Scud's gearbox. Only faster :p

    Just dreaming a little bit :D
