In the end I think they are both great cars and you can't go wrong with either. I think if you get in the game now and you find a sorted car, you can avoid the big bills. I think in the long run, maybe the 355 will be a little more ... but when you're already talking a stupid amount of money what difference does a little more make? Repair costs wouldn't scare me away from a 355. In fact, I think it's what keeps these cars in the hands of people that really love Ferraris.

Funny really. People ask me all the time "How much did your car cost?" My answer is always - "not as much as you think". Then the follow up question of "How much is a tune up?" my response is "A lot more than you think". Buying a Ferrari isn't a big achievement when you consider the cost of cars these days. Owning one through a couple of majors ... now that's love.

I have been storing some of the standard 355 items as gifts for my (uninformed and stubborn) 355 friends (goth). And yes, I was looking at a 355 TB before the 348SS came my way. It was the only car that could have moved me from the 355 choice. I was so taken with the down in the dumps SS I had to take it and restore it. I have made my choice. A 355 wouldn't be so bad - say after I turn 60. :) For now, well I will retain my manhood and continue to drive a car with no power steering or automatic transmission. :p

348 vs 355- the only difference is grill vs. no grill. I like the aggressive grill and the rawness of the 348.
Now If you want power – buy a Porsche Turbo.
