Just as well the speeding camera's are not exchanging data between the countries yet... London to Paris, 2 hours 43 minutes - net driving time Paris to London, 3 hours 33 minutes - net driving time Round-trip 633 miles, 1 day. Done in a Mondial t, 1989 year, 24800mi on the clock. I bought this car 1 year ago with 17900mi on the clock and, well, it gets used! 2 Months ago, I did London to Copenhagen (Denmark) 750 mi - 11 hours outbound, 13 hours inbound, 1500 miles in 3 days. Top speed in Germany 165 mph on the clock for 8 minutes (overreads by about 15 mph at the top end - clearly). Then needed to put in an oil breather catch tank as I did a low flying display team impression when some oil blew through the breather into my intake plenum and you could see where I went for some 12 miles while it blew itself out, all th while I thought I blew the motor... These cars are meant for driving! Marco
Hey guys, Well Fri. I posted I had a great story and at the time it was. Now it's just a story. I'm back in Vegas, without my car... Sad to say it went down in Tahoe on Sat. Sun it was towed to Reno and today was in a local shop... It looks like the throw-out bearing and the seals need to be replaced... I had to leave my poor 355 alone is a strange place/shop and fly home. I'll have to fly back in a few or when I can, and drive it back. Does that still count as one trip for miles? I had about 670 miles when it went down...
I don't have pics as I was too busy driving, but...... 348..... from PHX to VA City, NV 4X round trip...(Ran VA City Hillclimb) 348..... from PHX to Monterey, 2X round trip.... w/some track time at Laguna Seca 348.....PHX to LA and back, countless times 348.....PHX to Aspen.... car show and track days Mondial t cab.... picked up in Rochester, NY and drove to PHX Mondial t cab.... PHX to LA and back, who knows how many times TR...... picked up in Menomenee, MI and drove to PHX TR...... PHX to VA City for the hillclimb F40.... PHX to Aspen and back 2X 308... PHX to VA City, NV for the hillclimb These cars are meant to be driven!
Went out at about 700 miles into the trip. At least I made it to a town and didn't get stuck in the middle of no where. But the funny thing is (and maybe I shouldn't say this) but mine made it the farthest....
LOL..... Yes. when we started this there were going to be 6 cars. On the day of the trip 2 of the cars could not make it, both of them diablo's. So we ended up with 4 cars and 5 people. A 550, a countach, my 355 and a BMW Z8. since I'm not sure if I should be telling this (some didn't want the word out) let's just say only ONE of them made it back home without a tow-truck.... Can you guess which one...
DUDE!!! please elaborate on this story! There were at least 3 other cars going that I know of... but you had to FLY home?!? Where was everyone else?????? What the hell happened?? you JUST had the clutch done!! I'm really really sorry to hear about this bro, let me know if there is anything I can do to help!
Once I get the ok from the other guys to post it (don't want to upset anyone) I'll tell the whole story...
My car is home... I flew in last night (fri) to Reno. Stayed the night, and drove it home this morning.... I will post some pictures when I get a little more time.
Doh! totally forgot about this thread. I didn't take pics of my Odometer oops but I do have pics of the trip from what I can figure out round trip was around 1800 miles or 2890 km More pics on my night 348 spider adventures 1, 2, 3 thread.. Here are a few pictures of the weekend. The first one is the speedo at the end, 1134k total miles... The second is us getting caught in the rain.. this was the first time I ever used the windshield wipers... And the car didn't even melt... Over the first two days we were rained on 3 times... The next one is a picture of my 355 and the Z8 in front of a lake where we stopped for breakfast on the way to Tahoe. The last one is a picture of Lake Tahoe (raining again). Other than breaking down it was still a great trip... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Come on guys, play the game! The question is - how many miles in your Ferrari IN ONE DAY. In the Spider the most I did was about 800 miles non-stop except fuel, from the ferry port in Santander on the north coast of Spain down to the villa on the south coast. Included about an hour and a half high speed jinks with a spanish 360 Modena on those lovely smooth empty spanish auto vias. The most recent is the UK down to Le Mans for the 24 Hours which is only about 350 miles. Doing it again for the Le Mans Classic next week though I know I don't have newspaper proof, but nor do I tell fibs. The only other guys I can see with decent miles in one day is Gandalf, Rico and Marco
