I think it's kinda cool that a picture was able to be taken while the driver was being lectured by the policeman. How did you manage that one? Where was this (so that we can all be wary), and are the cops still out there?

    Regards.

Cop car says Nassau County (Long Island). And chances are there are still cops in Nassau County. :)

Ha ha, guess I set myself up for that one. ;) But seriously, curious to know which (long) stretch of highway was it? And what was the clocked speed?

    Regards.

That's why it is best to do high speed runs with a group. One crown vic versus several Vipers, Vettes, Ferraris, Porsches, etc... and the odds shift, favoring the majority of the speeders. But the best tool to out run the cops is the Suzuki Hayabusa... NO CHOPPER - NO CHANCE !!!

Even a chopper isnt catching a busa, or any car that goes over 160. Police use jetrangers and hughes's and maybe eurocopters. They top out at like 150. You cant outrun their radios, however.

    Good morning Tim!!!
YES you can outrun the radio!!!! It has been done. Takes an enormous set of nads as well as something (bike or car) that is God aweful fast!!!! Never done it personally (and won't try it either. I'm not good enough to make a clean get away... It would be a stupid decision that would result in additional charges to me). I know my limits (and my TR's).

Other than that, how is school going Tim??? Hope you're not out rowing away on a frozen lake... Take it easy!!

The pic was staged. Shot it on the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway on Long Island.

Sorry for the delayed reply. Been busy.

I was going to ask as much; the shot is taken ostensibly at 1st contact (note cop's body attitude in relation to the car as well as his right hand covering his sidearm) and no way a cop is going to feel comfortable w.a bystander so close taking pictures esp during 1st contact. Cool shot though.

Better known as route 135 :p

And yes, there are quite a few cop stops on 135. Best to take it slow around there.

That's the day I fell in love with black cars. Hubert, Clyde, John and Vik all got tagged... I slipped through that road block on the Turnpike. :)
