From www.worldcarfans.com The Ferrari F430 Scuderia is one car most people would have no problem in adding to my fantasy garage, the 510 horsepower supercar capable of doing 320km/h is more than sufficient to to satisfy most of our lusts. But should you wish for something a little extra why not enlist the help of specialist Ferrrari tuner Novitec Rosso who have just released their own tuning package boosting the engine up to a monstrous 717 horsepower bringing the top speed up to 348km/h and the 0-62mph time down to just 3.5 seconds. The engine gets new belt driven twin-superchargers with a limited boost pressure of 0.48 bar, the heat insulated intake manifold have been redesigned to provide the engine with pre-compressed air and the it also gets two high performance air filters and eight larger injectors. The extra heat generated from the additional power is cooled with a higher capacity coolant system. The subtle interior modifications include a new flat bottomed sports steering wheel featuring leather and carbon fibre materials as well as carbon-fibre shift paddles. http://www.worldcarfans.com/9080626.011/novitech-ferrari-f430-scuderia-unleashed Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think the new steering wheel is a massive improvement on the original with leather, alcantara and CF being one material too many IMHO
Damn...now thats a freakin' hot car. Better than that "lime green monaco" monstrosity! I think they killed the 430 on that one. BUT this one...damn. Move over LP540
I would say "Move over Enzo!" Honestly, this will put the Scud in a league of its own. I just hope the computer-intensive Scuderia systems have been remapped accordingly...
. . .doesn't the normal scud do 0-60 in 3.5? 0-62 in 3.5 is minuscule especially considering the over 200 extra hp. Cheers, JJ
There was a post here recently from Road and Track that gave the Scud 0-60 in 3.1! So who knows! I know I won't ever own one to test! LOL! I am with the minority, leave the car as is, although the steering wheel and paddle shifter upgrade are nice touch! Robert
700+ hp. That's just insane! 400hp in my 360 is plenty enough to scare the crap outta me! I can only imagine how quickly this thing would be wrapped around some trees with that hp! Hunter
Actually the new MT test of the Scud - 3.1 sec 0-60mph and qtr. mile at 11 sec. If you ask me that's fast enough and the 100K or more they'll charge you will not get you anything more. It's not about how much horsepower rather how it tranfers that power to the ground. peace - frank
Not my cup of tea. I would never buy a Ferrari as in investment (especially a Scuderia), but if I did, I would never supercharge (or anything except for a tune for that matter) it, because I doubt the car will have any resale value, especially among collectors.
I supercharged a 2006 Z06 with only 4lbs of boost, tuning, and exhaust. The rwhp is 565 (dyno) and I believe at the crank we are looking at around 640. I also drive a F-1 430. The Z06 is very fast, but the Ferrari is more fun. Why? It actually can be driven. The Z06 begs for trouble on the street ranging from tickets to wheel spin and the temptation to race is a constant companion. The street is no place for that much horsepower. Incidentally the new ZR1 just did a 7.26 at the ring making it impressive also. Best
I don't understand your intent unless you are being facetious? All these cars are great for someone. Best
