    It's possible that the covers are from replacement fuseblocks which are from a different model. Go with the values in the OM. If in doubt, you can always go with whichever is lower and if it blows, try the higher value.

    Funny, I looked at the OM for the carb, GT4, 2Vi and the QV and all of them look pretty similar to your OM and none look anything like what is printed on the cover. WHo knows....maybe that cover is from an overseas model?? Go with what it printed in the OM.

    there are two stickers on each fuse cover The amp values on yours match the amp values on my right cover but the descriptions match the descriptions on the left cover. looks like someone put the stickers on incorrectly. BTW my car is an 85 308

    Don't think so, Geometry. The descriptions on the covers match the OM L to R, exactly. The amp ratings are the only difference. The patterns of current are the same on each cover, anyway, as you can see.

    I undestood what GeoMetry is saying there are 2 stickers on each cover. One is the description ( both covers match the description in your owners manual)
    The second is the amps (form your pictures they look the same on both covers) they should be different on each cover the 1st in left box should be 16 the 1st in the right should be 8.

    What amp rating were the fuses in the old holders?

    Right, he's saying someone put the "black" oem top sticker on the "white' fuse block.(or whatever I cannot remember which one mounts where) .any way go with the manual as the fuel pump is definately not 8A..it's the hottest running terminal....

    Just jam a .22 rifle cartridge into that one......

    (Joke from old R&T Back Page....anyone remember??)

    Thanks for the answers, buys. I see now that Geo and Tex were right, too. The original fuses were rated as per the OM and the only problem was the sticker on the left block was a duplicate of the right. I wonder where that mistake was made.

    Everything seems to work fine. I'm sorry that I cannot report any increase in power window velocity!

    Don't worry about it, the window speed....the main failure that damages the blocks is always an aging fuel pump slowly increasing in running load amps until it melts the base and strands you at a Mexican restuarant, 200 miles from home....;)
