They are mounted the same way on my car and plenty others! If I understand you well I think your seats are inversed! :)

I've seen more Espada's with seats reversed left to right than I can shake a stick at. This is VERY common. Not sure why, other than people want to wear the seats evenly, I guess.

We need to do a visual survey then. On most cars (not Espadas) the seat back rack adjustment knob is seen on the outboard side which sometimes makes it difficult to utilize while the door is closed.

I prefer the random assembly theory myself. ;>)

I had a Lancia Beta coupe that if I'm recalling correctly had both functions on the outboard side.

Real simple answer. The driver's seat obviously will wear faster than the passenger's seat. A simple solution is when it begins to show signs of wear to switch the seats. I've done this on a number of my cars, however I did take the seats apart so that both sides have the back adjustment and the seat adjustment in the outboard position. If you don't then they are in the inboard position.

Not necessarily that simple Joe. Some seats can't be reversed as there's a lefthand and righthand design. The Biturbo would be one example. I'm not sure about the Espada but my drivers seat is plenty worn however the passenger side is not. So it doesn't look like mine got reversed. Now in the series II owners manual (page 22) they clearly show the seat back rake knob as mounted outboard like mine are. It looks better that way But that makes releasing the seatback somewhat awkward so I dunno if they varied from the factory or as you suggest some owners tried to spread the wear or simply put them back in wrong.

Stupid sh*t I know but it beats the hell out of talkng about the energy "crisis", global warming or the most idiotic topic of all, American politics.

Too bad they put the steering wheel on the wrong side.

Very nice, looks to be in great condition.

I'm going to guess that the extra item next to left front side marker light is for an alarm key?

When was this picture taken? Interesting lighting for that color. Those mirrors look like something from a 10 Ford Torino GT (my father had one).

Here's one that was posted on VLG

    http://www.kwik.cz/cpg/index.php?cat=4

The various components in the engine compartment, interior and exterior of this car seem identical to my own. They could be twins except for the color.
It looks like the seats and carpet were redone.

This car reminds me of an Espada SIII that I pictured in Holland in the 1980's
    #9890, later repainted dark blue.

    Ciao!
