Tyres on my car are fine, so dont need changing yet. But I was wondering if any of you had any preferences on tyre choice for handling etc? My car currently has Michelins, but other options I found were Bridgestone and Pirelli.

Anyone found one to be better than the others?

The biggest challenge I encounter is to find the right size in the brands I like.
I have a set of 19" rims and there aren't that many options available to choose from.
I first tried a set of Continental, only to send them back before even driving the car, because they did not look right on the car.
Now I am running on BF Goodrich, which were chosen because the size was available, but not because I really wanted them.

I found the rear ones impossible to find in Saudi. Pirelli said they could order a set in and it would take a week, but a set of four would cost well over $2500!

You might want to consider Goodyear F1 DS-G3s if you can get them. Very highly rated by the Tirerack survey and a good looking tread pattern, too.

Stock. I didn't want to change the profile unless I also changed the wheels.

I am currently running Bridgestones (on a 456GT) having had Pirellis before and they seem to be fine, i can't really notice any difference. I had the wheel alignment checked after getting the new Bridgestones fitted and it was out, once adjusted the car felt much better. The Pirelli rears are hard to get here in the UK so I fitted the Bridgestones as they were also original fitment on the car. Unless you can run the different make of tyres back to back, I think it is hard to judge if one make is better than the other. The newer tyres will always fell better anyway. The car felt great on the Bridgestones at a Spa trackday recently if that helps !!

    According to the manual:

    Bridgestone:
    Front -2.1 bar (30psi)
    Rear - 2.4 bar (35psi) to 2.5 bar (36psi)

    Pirelli
    Front - 2.2 (32psi) to 2.4 (35psi)
    Rear - 2.2 (32psi) to 2.4 (35psi)
