No mate they are different shades of blue. Top photo is a 355 GTB in Blue Chiaro, and bottom 355 spider is Tour de France blue Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have always been led to believe and have even read on a few sites that they are the same colour. Still, you know more about these cars than me, you learn something new every day. Is there much of a difference?
The blu Chiaro is very susceptible to lighting conditions, it looks a different colour in different lights, in dim lighting it can look rather flat and dull but in the right lighting it looks fantastic.
In them pictures it looks like the Tour de France is darker. They are both nice colours anyway, I have seen quite a few cars in Tour de France blue, but have never seen a Blu Chiaro Ferrari.
Well, the rear bumper had similar issues to the front (but not as bad), and having seen the price of both bumpers new, Al thinks he should have quoted more All of the 'odds & ends' are stripped, prepped (where necessary) and primed, such as the door intakes, side skirts, front lamp boxes, mirrors & rear panel. The sanding down (final prep) of the main body is started as well. another question from me I'm afraid --- I'd love to know how he got the windscreen out? Could he share the procedure? Will he need to purchase a new "bright" (black) trim that goes around the windscreen? Everybody always says these are scrapped once you take the screen out and they seem to be quite pricey. My Screen has started delaminating quite badly in the bottom corners and I'd like to know what's involved in the change before I start negotiating with the local dealer. I already know the price of the screen. Thanks for the great thread.
Wow, that's a lot less than I was expecting for the level of work that looks to be in play. If the end result is a glass finish then that's a very fair price!! For what it's worth mine was Le Mans Blue with Tan interior and I still think that's an awesome combo!!
The 'screen, seating rubber & trim came out undamaged, but it's a helluva job & took Al's guy about 5 hrs and he's one of the best in the area (if not in Wales) Basically, unless your windscreen fitter has done one before and knows exactly what's involved, then I wouldn't let him anywhere near it. There's a VERY good reason Als guy charges £55 p/h - he's never let him down! Sorry to be so vague, but it really is a case of finding someone with the requisite skill level.

What a shame! I'm sorry but I can't understand why someone wants to take a rare green car and repaint it boring red like all the others. Why not get a red one to start with? There are plenty about. Incidentally, I am pretty sure the car in post #10 is Verde Mugello (the same colour as my 550) and not Verde Silverstone, which is a darker green. Jonathan
Rosso Scuderia is also a rare colour, i have never seen a 355 in this colour before. From today. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
