Rachel's guardian angel (and mine) is EUGENIO'S. I'm quite sure Enzo would throw a lightning bolt in my direction if for one instant, I toyed with the insane notion of taking her elsewhere:)

    Cheers, Hank

Im late to this thread but heres another vote for Eugenio.

Its all been said before and it sounds like hyperbole but Eugenio is in fact, the Superman of Ferrari mechanics.

Its one of those 'have to experience it' things. He's also got an amazingly sarcastic sense of humor that I dig.

The fact that he is priced lower than just about anyone else (that is qualified) is icing on the cake...of course the wait to get your car in can drive you crazy.

Eugenio, if you are reading this thred thanks for the email and I will be stopping by the get the scent back :D

I heard from Eugenio the same Sunday evening I posted the original thread. He spent over an hour on the phone with me talking over just about every question I had regarding the car and its service requirements. With communication like this without even paying a single cent yet I am sure to do all I can to insure my 30k happens at Eugenio's.

eugenio is the best. period. no question. once you take your ferrari to eugenio you will never want to take it anybody else. i don't ever want anybody except eugenio to touch my stradales ever again.

eugenio has complicated my life however. i sometimes toy with the idea of moving away from so. cal. not sure where, but now that i discovered eugenio i am constrained to moving only as far away as i am comfortable having my stradales trailered back to eugenio for service :) the east coast is out of the question now. thanks eugenio :)

Well its been a year and I still can't get on Eugenio's calendar. I spoke with him briefly and he has a waiting list 32 names long and growing. I added my name to the list but am due for yearly fluids. FoNB wants 1600.00 for this service. I contact Larry at Ferrari tech tomorrow.

ok, i'm back . . . went through all the emails . . lets cut through all the BS :)

    email 1 dtd 3/13/09
    Hello Eugenio;
I don’t know if you remember me, but my name is Ron and we spoke for about an hour on the phone just about one year ago. I had posted on Ferrari chat asking others about your services and you called me. I had just received my vehicle and you were booked solid but again my thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedule to talk with me. Since our conversation I had the 15k mile service including belts done in July 2008. I am coming up on the yearly fluids change and would love to have you perform the service as well as look the vehicle. Please let me know when you can fit me into your schedule.

    he then calls you back

    email 2 dtd 3/14/09
    Hello Eugenio;
I did receive your voicemail message of today. Thank you for responding to my first email. I understand from your message that you are busy and have 17 others in the cue. No worries as I anticipated such and do not require a service till the end of June / beginning of July.
Can you accommodate me in your schedule in the June / July timeframe?

    email 3 dtd 3/15/09
    Hi Ron,
    Got your message.
Ok, I will put you down for June / July.
We should touch base in May sometime....call me if I don't call you.
    ciao
    Eugenio

    email 4 dtd 5/15/09
    Hi Eugenio;
I was wondering if you had a date scheduled in the June / July timeframe yet for me to bring the Ferrari in for service. I am looking to have the yearly fluid service performed and would like you to look the car over so that we could discuss and repair any issues you may find with it.

    email 5 dtd 5/15/09
    Hi Ron,
Actually.... I do not have a date yet.
I am swamped with work, that I'm in fact on hold for taking any new customers (it says it on my website now) . . . the waiting list is 32 people long . . . .
Let me know if you wanna keep waiting . . . :(
    ciao
    E

    email 6 dtd 5/15/09
    I am willing to wait.
    Regards,
    Ron

    looks pretty clear to me

    a) you were told the wait would be long

    b) you were told it would be late june early july at best . . maybe longer ???

    c) you were asked if you were willing to wait

    d) you said "yes"

    e) we're barely at end of june (and not even yet early july) ...... and you have chosen to pull up a year old thread which you yourself started ?

    hmmmmm

    f) you haven't been waiting a year . . . last year you took the car to FOC . . . that was your choice and willingness not to wait then . . . so it hasn't been a year

    like i said . . HIGHLY INACCURATE

we got all the emails as proof . . would you like us to post copies of them ?

if you can't wait, then don't say you can wait

Eugenios is the best, but if you need something "small" done right away, forget it. He only take's "Majors" and the waiting list is very long. Eugenio, was nice enough to refer me to his friend Joseph San Paolo, of Concours Automotive in La Habra. He did a great job on my F355 and I highly recommend him. His phone number is 562-697-4188. He has advertised in the back pages of Forza magazine for years.

    this part not true

    i'll prove it

there are 4 people, who posted in this thread, whom all got small work done before big work

VTC = got his muffler installed 5 months before major service

Ricksb = got electrical work done a year before his major service

720 = got oil changes done for a couple years before his majors

HankSound = got his car completely cleaned up by E (previous guy who did major did some boos boos), and E has not done a major to his car to this date

again, let's keep it 100% honest please

Slow down cowboy. I am willing to wait for my 30k service, not the yearly fluids. I am upset though that you did not present Eugineo's 5/15 response correctly so here it is

    Hi Ron,

Actually.... I do not have a date.
I am so swamped with work, that I'm in fact on hold for taking any new customers (it says it on my website now) . . . the waiting list is 32 people long . . . I simply can't handle it.

Right now I can't even say I will get to your car in June or July. . . I honestly don't know when at all.

Let me know if you wanna keep waiting . . . it could be awhile unfortunately. :(

    ciao
    E

Yes I did take the car to FOC last July. They did the 15k, belts, fluids and some other things. I did this based upon my phone conversation with Eugenio and the fact that I had a very small service history for the car and wanted to insure all services and campains were up to date so that I may enjoy the car and not make a garage queen out of it.

My clientel just like Eugenio's is important and requires scheduling two months in advance as I travel out of the country for weeks at a time. Based upon these facts I was trying to schedule an appoinment for a yearly fluid service as well as explore other service providers should he not be able to provide an appointment in his schedule for my vehicle.

As to producing the email threads... GO FOR IT. Include them all as an attachement so all can see the missing text I supplied above.

Pleas explain to all of us why it is wrong to ask for references in regard to other service providers. In doing so I found that Ferrari Tech is only 7 miles from my home. Should I ever need assitance in an emergency I now have the name of a refered service provider in my area. Not to mention the other referals from folks here for service providers within the socal area.

Laslty if eugenio is so peeved by my thread and its subsiquent posts let him address me directly.

YOU NEED TO PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH AND KEEP IT 100 % HONEST!!!

You contradicted yourself. In poiint E you state that pulled up a thread that is a year old and then in point F you state that it has not been a year.

    GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT.

My aplogies to all the others on this forum. But I will not stand for anyone calling me a liar. Especially when they do not present the facts correctly.

the only thing left out was a sentence regarding "no idea when" .... and it was left out for your benefit

because even after that was told to you "no idea when" (and you have now brought it up ) you still responded :

    email 6 dtd 5/15/09
    I am willing to wait.
    Regards,
    Ron

which means "you were not willing to wait"

which makes you a (you fill in the blank buddy :) .... whatever makes you feel good)

in the big picture doesn't matter

go get your oil changed and report back how great it was (which you for sure will)

just a helpful tip though .... over yawnder where ur headin' ,,,,, there is no SD3, no SD2, not even SD1 ..... so hopefully you'll never have a problem with your top, F1 system, dash, ABS, motronics, or ?????

of course you can always go back to the dealer, but you don't seem to want to pay their price

    enjoy !!!

    no contradiction

it's been a year since you started the thread

and you have not been "waiting a year" (since you took it to FOC last year, and made an appointment in Mar of this year for a different service at a different place)

    2 entirely different things

very simple .... read more slowly

Get back on your meds please. My original thread was and always be in regards to the 30k service which I am still waiting for. My March appointment request was in an email and phone conversation to Eugenio in regards to a fluid change not a third party.

Maybe you should read more slowly.

As far as what you left out. There is not benefit to me only to you and the useless point you try to make.

To the point of what FOC charges I am not complaining about it. Just throwing it out there for anyone else interested.

GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE. I AM TIRED OF SPEAKING TO THE ERRAND BOY. LET EUGENIO ANSWER FOR HIMSELF.

I do not see why you are throwing a temper tantrum because I am exploring all my options as Eugenio in his own words stated " honestly I don't know when at all".
Bottom line is, my vehicle is due for yearly fluid service the begining of July and I want to stay on track with the maintenance.

Probably left out in case you didn't understand what "no idea when" meant. Giving you the benefit of the doubt.
But apparently you did understand, and still said you would wait.

    Brent;

From the start or very first thread I have been refering to the 30k service. I am willing to wait for it (30k service) as I had a great conversation with Eugenio, in which he recommended that I get certain services (fluids, belts and such) performed since I questioned the prior service history of the vehicle and wanted to start driving it with some piece of mind.

Based upon the information I collected from Eugenio and members of F chat I chose to bring the vehicle to FOC. The service writter suggested the 15k service as it addressed the items listed above as well as a few others. That was in the begining of last July.

So trying to plan ahead to meet both my schedule and Eugenios I emailed him in March asking if he could perform the yearly fluid service on my vehicle at the end of June begining of July timeframe. He responded that there were 17 vehicles in the queue in front of me and that he would put me in for June /July and that I should touch base with him in May.

In May he responded that the queue is now 32 deep and he wasn't even sure he would be able to get to my vehicle. This was a totally honest answer which I respected. So while I am waiting I dug up this old thread to find possible alternatives should Eugenio not be able to fit my vehicle into his schedule by the begining of September.

In Sepember I plan on driving my vehicle from Orange County to Vegas and then onto Arizona and back home. So is it wrong of me to want to complete this service and address anything else found during the service before the trip?

If by mid August Eugenio and I could not come to terms in regard to scheduling before my trip, I would explain my need like I have done here and ask to remain on the list for my 30k but withdraw the request for the yearly fluid service.

I would see the light from Joe Gs point of view if I made an appointment and did not show up or wasted Eugenios time. The only thing I am gulity of here is being anal in regards to maintaining the car and wanting to drive the trip knowing that fluids are fresh and the levels are correct.

Lastly see post #34 of this thread where I go on about how much time Eugenio spent with me on the phone and how I will be diligent to ensure he gets my 30k service business.
