The a/c on my 1999 360 is not super cold, only cool. I would like to charge it. I have the gauges, but need to know if it is the 134A or the old R12. Also how hard is it to get to the low pressure line in order to hook up the gauges? Thanks!

R134A, you will need to open the front trunk and remove the firewall panels.

No car sold in the US is R12 anymore, Manufactures were required to fazed out R-12 in all new cars by 1995.

The high and low pressure valves are accessible under the triangular panel, just under the hood on the driver's side, where the brake fluid reservoir is, and where the hook-up for the Ferrari Battery charger is, if the car is fitted for a charger. ........unless U.S. cars are completely different that Euro's

I wanted to thank everyone about this post. Especially GCalo!!! He PM"d me explaining exactly where to look. I took pictures if anyone else needs help with this. Now the presseres are 29/195 a/c is cold and works perfectly. The only flaw in the system is as you can see in the pictures, the white insulation between the front firewall and the cover. This insulation is glued to the firewall and must be very carefully trimmed with a razorblade, then carefully taped back together. I wiil ask FOD if a new one can be ordered so it is all back to factory original again:
    Thank You
